You know things are looking up for Kentucky when its star freshman, Nerlens Noel, is leaping defenders in a single bound.
We here at the Daily Swag appreciate amazing feats of athleticism, especially the kind featuring dudes jumping over other dudes for magnificent dunks. You might even remember Ish Smith leaping John Wall, only to leap back and block him in an epic play that has but one blemish in that a foul was called.
So you can see how we would get a little giddy over this video posted by Big Lead.
It features Kentucky freshman and possible one-and-done phenom Nerlens Noel dunking in the best way possible: over an Auburn defender.
The play comes in the middle of the second half of what would be an eventual blowout win by the Wildcats—an all-too-rare sight for them this season.
Kentucky once again has enjoyed a great glut of talent, but has struggled a bit this season, going 12-5, including losses to Baylor and Notre Dame. After back-to-back wins, the hope is the the Wildcats are on track and well on their way to a successful second half of the season.
As for Noel, he leads the team in rebounds per game and has enjoyed double-digit point production in 4 straight games.
A word of advice to defenders may be to just get out of the way of a driving Noel, because the ego may not handle the subsequent hit.
