Battle 4 Atlantis 2012: Teams, Schedule, Live Stream, Bracket, TV Info

Rick WeinerJun 1, 2018

Nothing says Thanksgiving like eight college basketball teams descending on Atlantis Resorts on Paradise Island in the Bahamas for a three-day tournament at the Imperial Arena aptly titled the Battle 4 Atlantis.

The Duke Blue Devils and Louisville Cardinals lead a talented field in the second edition of the tournament; a field that does not include any of the eight schools that participated in 2011, including Harvard, who defeated UCF 59-49 in the championship game.

Eight schools representing eight conferences—including four teams ranked in the AP Top 25: No. 3 Louisville (Big East), No. 9 Duke (ACC), No. 14 Missouri (SEC) and No. 17 Memphis (Conference USA), will take to the hardwood to compete in 12 games over 72 hours of non-stop action.

Predictions

None of the ranked schools have easy draws in the Battle 4 Atlantis, with each unranked squad fully capable of pulling off the upset on a neutral court.

Obviously, the premier matchup would be Louisville and Duke going head-to-head in the championship game. While anything can happen, you've got to like both teams chances of making it to that point—a game that I think Rick Pitino's Cardinals would take down Mike Krzyzewski's Blue Devils in.
