It was a great year in college basketball this year; great games, great teams, a true year to remember.
But like every year in college basketball, there were some teams that simply didn't look that great.
There is a long history of ugly basketball jerseys. Wyoming seems to be a perennial player on the ugly uniform list.
There were a lot more good looking jerseys than there were not good looking this season, so finding the top 25 was tough.
I'm sure that there will be a lot of people the disagree with some of the slides on this list, so if you do just leave a comment and tell me who you think that it is.
This list is the 25 ugliest jerseys of the year.
Rice
The Old English "R" is one of my favorite logos in all of college baseball.
In college basketball however, it simply doesn't work.
There is a reason that nobody uses the Old English style for basketball, because it turns out as bad as it did for Rice.
Dayton

Dayton's uniforms are close to being really great—I think if an adult would have designed the uniforms and not a third grader.
The 3-D block letters and the reverse baseball swoosh coming off the 'n' is enough to make these uniforms terrible.
Dayton is close, but ultimately the jerseys are no good.
Marquette

I know that there are going to be some people that disagree with my choice to put Marquette on the list, but their jerseys are a like it or hate it kind of thing.
For me, it's just too much going on. The stripes down the side and around the shoulders are too much to handle.
The baby blue jerseys are bad, the yellow are worse.
Syracuse

Typically I really like Syracuse's uniforms but this year it was miss for me.
The block letters, the grey numbers and the blocks down the sides of the shorts are too much to handle.
In their defense, the white jerseys are significantly better than the orange.
Tennessee

Tennessee can't really control the light orange color, so I will try not to hold that against them. But why do the black?
The football team doesn't have black and they look great, the basketball team looks like weird tigers.
The black makes the jersey a big fail.
Texas A&M

Texas A&M is another team that is close to having really good uniforms, but the font ruins it.
The Old Western style font screams Texas A&M and maybe that's why they did it, but unfortunately for the Aggies, it doesn't work on a basketball jersey as well as it does on a wanted poster.
Iowa State

Iowa state went for the yellow writing on maroon cloth USC approach.
Iowa State is not USC, enough said.
Cincinnati
Nick Laham/Getty Images
Cincinnati used to have some of the best looking uniforms in the country.
This year apparently a bear attacked the shoulders and the shorts of all the jerseys. Is that supposed to be a claw scratch?
Whatever it is, it doesn't belong on a basketball jersey.
Duke
Nick Laham/Getty Images
Duke has good looking white uniforms. Duke has good looking blue uniforms. Duke has really bad looking black uniforms.
Why the black? I don't know, but it doesn't work.
Boise State

Boise State is known for the blue field. The blue field looks good. The blue jerseys don't.
While I don't like the uniforms because of the the size of the font and the letters, that isn't what makes it a bad jersey.
The blue socks and blue shoes on the other hand, that is what makes it a bad jersey.
Florida State

I like the idea that Florida State had when they designed their jerseys.
I love the colors and the pattern. The font is horrible. The flares coming off each of the letters are terrible; it's not pilot school.
Ohio State
Gregory Shamus/Getty Images
This slide will be similar to Duke's slide.
Ohio State has great white jerseys. Ohio State has great red jerseys. Ohio State has awful grey jerseys.
Washington State
Stephen Dunn/Getty Images
So many letters, so little jersey.
Wyoming
Do I need to say anything? Yellow and brown, 3-D letters. I think I've made my point.
Butler
Ronald Martinez/Getty Images
Butler had another magical season this year.
After two Final Four appearances in a row I think that it's time for Butler to upgrade their jerseys. They look a lot like high school jerseys.
Utah
The Runnin' Utes. I don't mind the name Runnin' Utes but it's terrible written out on the front of the uniform.
Miami
Streeter Lecka/Getty Images
I was always under the impression that Miami's colors were green, orange and white. I guess I was wrong?
Virginia Tech
Streeter Lecka/Getty Images
Virginia Tech should really stick to the maroon and white uniforms. The orange is bad.
Gonzaga
Justin Edmonds/Getty Images
Besides the weird writing, the part that makes Gonzaga's jerseys so bad is on the back. The "Go Zags" that is hidden in the black looks tacky and childish.
Good idea, bad results.
Kansas State
Harry How/Getty Images
I don't know where the grey idea came from but it is bad. Especially when they sweat and the purple and grey blend together.
Kansas State can rest assured knowing that they have the worst uniforms in the country.
