
Championship Week: Top 10 Performances from Friday's Phenoms
As Championship Week continues, the games and the individual performances just keep getting better and better.
Unexpected upsets, come-from-behind barnburners and over-the-top overtimers.
Records have been broken. Teams have played themselves into and out of the Dance.
Lets do a rapid review of Friday's 10 best players from conference tournaments.
10. Isaiah Thomas: Washington Huskies

Isaiah Thomas, Washington's diminutive point guard, led the Huskies to a 69-51 victory over Oregon in a Pac-10 semifinal game.
Thomas scored 10 points and handed out 12 assists.
The Huskies will face top-seeded Arizona in the conference final.
This is the second year in a row that Washington has played for the Pac-10 title.
Thomas was last year's tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
9. Carl Jones: St. Joseph's Hawks

Carl Jones led Atlantic 10, 12-seeded St. Joseph's one more step forward in their miracle run by beating Duquesne in overtime, 93-90.
St. Joseph's, who entered the conference tournament with an 8-21 record, has won three games and will face Dayton in a semifinal matchup
Jones scored 28 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 2-of-4 beyond the arc and 12-of-15 from the free-throw line.
Jones also grabbed seven rebounds and handed out seven assists.
8. Tyler Zeller: North Carolina Tar Heels

Tyler Zeller's last second layup helped the Tar Heels survive an embarrassing exit from the ACC tournament, as top-seeded UNC (25-6, 14-2 ACC) beat Miami, 61-59.
Miami led by 19 points with 9:56 remaining in the game, but Carolina closed the game on a 27-6 run over the final 9:56.
Zeller scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
7. Marcus Morris: Kansas Jayhawks

Big 12 Player of the Year Marcus Morris helped the Jayhawks erase a 12-point deficit to beat Colorado 90-83.
Morris did a little of everything to contribute to the Kansas (31-2, 14-2 Big 12) victory.
He scored 20 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, handed out four assists and made three steals.
Kansas will play second-seeded and No. 10 overall Texas in the championship game Saturday.
6. Preston Knowles: Louisville Cardinals

Louisville senior guard Preston Knowles helped the Cardinals erase a 14-point halftime deficit, take the game into overtime and defeat No. 4 Notre Dame in this Big East semifinal matchup.
Knowles scored 20 points and handed out four assists while playing most of the second half and the overtime period with four fouls.
Louisville plays UConn for the Big East championship.
5. JaMychal Green: Alabama Crimson Tide

JaMychal Green did everything but sell nachos at halftime on Friday.
The junior forward scored 20 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, blocked five shots, handed out two assists and had four steals as the Crimson Tide rolled over Georgia 65-59 in overtime.
Alabama went on a 17-4 run in the game's final six minutes to force the game beyond regulation.
This win should help the Crimson Tide's case when it comes to Selection Sunday.
4. Kalin Lucas: Michigan State Spartans

Kalin Lucas led the Spartans with a career-high 30 points to a 74-56 thrashing of No. 9 Purdue.
Michigan State had a 14-11 record on Feb. 15, but the Spartans have won five of their last seven games.
Lucas was 8-for-15 from the field, including 4-for-6 from beyond the arc.
He also connected on ten of 11 free throws.
The Spartans face Penn State in one of the Big Ten semifinals.
3. Kyle Singler: Duke Blue Devils

It was only a matter of time before Kyle Singler would have a breakout game, carrying his team to a big victory.
On Friday, Singler had a game-high 29 points as Duke advanced to the ACC semifinals, beating Maryland 87-71.
Singler shot 10-for-15 from the field, including hitting his first six shots, as well as hitting all nine of his free throws and grabbing nine rebounds.
Singler may have to carry a big load again in Duke's game against Virginia Tech today because senior guard Nolan Smith is considered "questionable" because of injury.
2. Kemba Walker: Connecticut Huskies

Two years ago, UConn and Syracuse took six overtimes to settle the final score in their Big East tournament matchup.
This year, Kemba Walker and his Huskies teammates only needed one OT period to defeat the Orange 76-71, as UConn (25-9, 9-9 Big East) advanced to the conference title game against Louisville.
Walker had an exceptional game, leading his team in scoring (33 points), rebounding (12), assists (5) and steals (6).
Walker has scored 111 points through four games, which breaks a conference record for most points in a single Big East tournament.
1. Jimmer Fredette: BYU Cougars

Jimmer was more Jimmer on Friday than he had ever been before.
The nation's leading scorer put up a career-best, Mountain West Conference tournament record 52 points as BYU beat New Mexico for the first time in three tries this season.
Fredette made 22 of 37 shots from the field, including 7-for-14 from beyond the arc.
This unbelievable game, where he scored 33 by halftime, moved Fredette to the top of the school scoring list, surpassing Danny Ainge.
He now has 2,417 career points, which is also a Mountain West Conference record.
The top-seeded Cougars (30-3) will play in Saturday's MWC championship game against San Diego State (No. 6 ESPN/USA Today, No. 7 AP).
