N.C. State Wolfpack Down The Wake Forest Demon Deacons in Winston-Salem 80-55

Allen LoppCorrespondent IFebruary 13, 2011

The North Carolina State Wolfpack traveled to The Joel Coliseum to take on the last place Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

The N.C. State Wolfpack have lost four of their last five games coming into this match up with Wake Forest.

Wake Forest had only won one conference game, and a lowly total of eight total games for the season.

N.C. State came out of the gates fast with eight straight points before Wake Forest got on the board.

C.J. Leslie had a fantastic game scoring 19 points on seven of 13 shooting, while pulling down eight rebounds.

N.C. State really dominated the paint against Wake Forest outrebounding them 32-24. Tracy Smith also scored 20 points on nine-of-12 shooting and eight rebounds.

Ryan Harrow is really starting to take control of this team and  it is slowly starting to become his team. Barring injury or illness, Javier Gonzalez should expect to see less and less playing time.

If you are like me, and have been waiting for this day for four years, it has finally start to come.

The Demon Deacons top performer was Travis McKiem, who scored 15 points on six-of-16 shooting and seven rebounds.

Wake Forest as a team shot a total of 38 percent from the field and 27 percent form the three-point line.

The Wolfpack's next game they will take on the Clemson Tigers at the RBC center.
