NCAA Basketball Top 25 according to the Associated Press (AP) as of Week 6 (ranked on Dec. 13).
In the Week 4 Rankings, we looked at the top scorers at the time for each of the Top 25. In Week 5, we looked at players in supporting roles.
This week, take a look at the head coaches as we count down to No. 1.

Mark Turgeon
Career: 235-151, 13 years. This is Turgeon's fourth year coaching the Aggies.
Turgeon was assistant coach to Larry Brown when the Kansas Jayhawks won it all with Danny Manning in 1988.

Mike Brey
Career: 319-166, 16 years. Mike Brey has led the Fighting Irish for 11 years.
Back in the late '80s, Brey worked as an assistant coach under Mike Krzyzewski at Duke.

Career: 464-297, 25 years. Lon has been coaching the Runnin' Rebels for seven years.
Kruger once coached the NBA's Atlanta Hawks.

Career: 504-251, 24 years. Rick Barnes has led the Longhorns for 13 years.

Career: 460-185, 20 years. This is Smith's fourth year heading the Golden Gophers.
Tubby Smith, in his first year coaching the Kentucky Wildcats in 1997-98, won the NCAA championship.

Rick Pitino
Career: 580-211, 25 years. Pitino has coached the Cardinals for a decade now.
Rick Pitino also won an NCAA championship with Kentuckyāin 1996. He's also coached the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks.

Matt Painter
Career: 146-62, seven years. After leading Southern Illinois to a 25-5 record in his first year as a coach, Painter was hired by Purdue.
Matt Painter has made the NCAA Tournament five of his six full years as a coach.

Career: 32-11, two years.Ā
Pastner has coached the fewest number of years amongst Top 25 coaches.

John Calipari
Career: 445-144, 19 years. After coaching at Memphis for nine years, Calipari moved on to Kentucky, where he has been for the last two.
Calipari has coached three different teams to a No. 1 ranking: UMass, Memphis and Kentucky. He also coached the New Jersey Nets for a spell.
16. Brigham Young Cougars (10-0, Mountain West)

Dave Rose
Career: 137-40, six years. Dave Rose has spent his whole coaching career with the Cougars.
Dave has made the NCAA Tournament four of his five full seasons as coach.
15. Georgetown Hoyas (10-1, Big East)

John Thompson
Career: 217-105, 11 years. JT3 started with Princeton but has coached the last seven years at Georgetown.
Thompson won three Ivy League championships with Princeton and took the Hoyas to the Final Four in 2007.

Tom Izzo
Career: 371-149, 16 years. Izzo's entire coaching career has been with the Spartans.
Izzo's Spartans won the NCAA Tournament in 2000.

Mike Anderson
Career: 186-88, nine years. This is Anderson's fifth year coaching the Missouri Tigers.
Anderson was assistant coach to Nolan Richardson for the Arkansas Razorbacks when they won it all in 1994.

Bruce Weber
Career: 286-127, 13 years. Weber went from Southern Illinois to Illinois, where he has been the last eight years.
Weber led Illinois to the NCAA championship game in 2005.

Steve Fisher
Career: 318-228, 21 years. Fisher coached the Michigan Wolverines for nine years before moving to San Diego State.
In his first year as a coach, 1988-89, Fisher went all the way with the Michigan Wolverines.
10. Villanova Wildcats (8-1, Big East)

Jay Wright
Career: 333-185, 17 years. Jay Wright has manned the helm for the Wildcats for the past decade.
Wright was an assistant coach to Rollie Massimino at both Villanova and UNLV.

Scott Drew
Career: 136-114, nine years. Eight of Drew's nine coaching years have been with Baylor. The other was with Valparaiso.
In their 105-year history, the Bears have been ranked six timesāfour under Scott Drew.

Career: 198-55, eight years...all with Pittsburgh.
Jamie Dixon had the most wins for a coach in his first six seasons.

Career: 219-86, 10 years. Pearl has been coaching the Vols for seven years.
Bruce Pearl won the Division II National Championship with Southern Indiana in 1995.

Career: 81-33, four yearsāall with K-State.
Frank Martin and the Wildcats are looking to notch more than 20 victories in each of Martin's first four years as a coach.

Jim Boeheim
Career: 839-293, 35 years. Jim Boeheim has been coaching Syracuse since 1976! Incredible.
In 34 of Boeheim's 35 years at Syracuse, the team has been ranked in the Top 25 at some point during the season. The Orange won it all in 2003.
4. Connecticut Huskies (8-0, Big East)

Jim Calhoun
Career: 831-358, 39 yearsālongest in the Top 25. Starting in 1972, Jim Calhoun coached the Northeastern Huskies for 14 years and then moved to UConn in 1986.
Calhoun and the Huskies have two championships: 1999 and 2004.
3. Kansas Jayhawks (9-0, Big 12)

Bill Self
Career: 418-148, 18 years. Bill Self has coached the Jayhawks, his fourth team, for eight years.
Self took the NCAA title with Kansas in 2008.
2. Ohio State Buckeyes (9-0, Big Ten)

Thad Matta
Career: 267-85, 11 years...seven with Ohio State.
Matta took the Buckeyes to an NIT championship in 2008 and now has his eyes set on an NCAA title.
1. Duke Blue Devils (10-0, ACC)

Mike Krzyzewski
Career: 878-279, 36 years. Before Coach K was a Blue Devil, he coached the Army Black Knights for five years.
Krzyzewski and Duke have won the NCAA championship four times: 1991, 1992, 2001 and 2010.
