You never know when an upset is going to happen.

One of the times when undefeated teams are vulnerable in the early season is right before Christmas.

Players' minds may not be very focused on hoops. The Holidays are in full swing. Final exams are taking place...A prime time for a David to take down a Goliath or two.

That's exactly what happened last night.

Here's how two the unbeatens fell:

Oakland (MI) 89, Tennessee 82

Oakland (MI.), the defending Summit League champion put together a challenging schedule this season to get them ready to make another run at an NCAA tournament appearance

They were 5-5 going into last night's game at Tennessee.

But three of those loses came to legitimate Big Ten teams: Illinois, Purdue and Michigan State.

Keith Benson had 26 points and 10 rebounds and the Golden Grizzlies beat No. 7 Tennessee, 89-82, on Tuesday night, three days after losing by a point to then-No. 7 Michigan State.

The Vols held a 76-68 lead with 7:18 left, but their physical play inside drew foul after foul. Oakland (6-5) used a 13-0 run of mostly free throws and took an 81-76 lead that it would not relinquish.

It was only the second time the Volunteers have lost on their home court to a non-conference opponent in the last six seasons.

Drexel (PA) 52, Louisville 46

When you have as many rebounds as your opponents have points, things are probably going to turn out well.

That's exactly what Drexel did last night, knocking No. 20 Louisville from the ranks of the unbeaten.

The Dragons outrebounded the Cardinals 46-26 in a 52-46 victory.

Drexel forwards Daryl McCoy and Samme Givens claimed 10 rebounds apiece, with Givens snatching a crucial offensive one with 51 seconds left and the Cards trailing by three

Drexel held Louisville to 33.3 percent (15-45) shooting and a season low in points. The Cardinals had only one field goal in the final 8:27 of the game.

Gerald Colds scored 20 points and Chris Fouch added 10 to lead the Dragons to this upset win.
