At this point in the recruiting process Kentucky once again has run away with the #1 class. The question I ask is can Kansas make a push for the #2 class of 2011? As they sit now KU has zero commits which may cause many to wonder what I'm talking about. The zero commit list can change soon with many top players high on Self and the Jayhawks. UK has four 5 star players, and Kansas could end up with the same. Will they time will tell if not Duke could make a strong push for the 2 spot.

Josiah Turner

At this point the wise guess on the future destination of the #2 ranked PG and #10 overall player is Lawrence. Turner currently lists Kansas, Arizona, UConn, Louisville, Oregon and UCLA. Turner recently moved his AZ visit to allow KU's Late night to be his final visit. As I mentioned the feeling is a Kansas lean. If this happens there is the 1st, 5 star to commit.

LeBryan Nash

Nash the #2 SFand #4 overall player has recently set up a Kansas visit during what else Late night. Though considered by many to be a OK State lean, KU could make a strong late push for his services. Recenty Nash was quoted as saying Yea, I've scheduled an official visit to Kansas," Nash told Jayhawk Slant on Sunday afternoon. "I'll be taking my visit to Kansas on October 15, which is late night. Kansas is a serious option for me and a school I'm seriously considering."

Now KU may be playing catch up but dont be surprised if the atmopsphere and Self don't push to the top. Baylor is still in the picture, so Big12 will be his home, and that home may be in Lawrence, Ks.

Ben McLemore

Here is what is considered to be the heaviest of the KU leans. McLemore has shot up the charts with impressive summer showings. Rumor has it that schools have given up and excepted the fact Ben will wear KU blue. An explosive player that can play the 2 or 3. As of now he is the #17 overall prospect and #4 ranked shooting guard. McLemore is expected to be at Late Night also if his schedule at Oak Hill will allow it.

DeAndre Daniels

Here is where speculation comes in, Daniels recently withdrew form TX and is back on the market. No one really seems to have a read on this kid who is the #9 overall prospect and #3 SF. Schools rumored to be involved are KU, UK, Tenn, and Memphis. Time will tell on this one.

Austin Rivers

Here is my wildcard, and wishful thinking. Rivers is in all likelyhood headed to Duke but still is wanting to visit KU. Can Bill and Co pull this off time will tell, I just hope Paul Pierce is in the kids ear.

Bradley Beal

Here is wildcard #2. At one time Beal was called a KU lean until he commited to Florida. Though he says he is a Gator there are alot of rumblings saying he is a soft commit. Beal once a teammate of McLemore would have a high KU interest if he decommits. One bizarre circumstance that could push Beal to KU is if fellow KU target Rivers shocks us and commits to UF again, in this case a decommit is very possible.

Jabari Brown

A one time rumored KU lean Brown has recently removed KU from his list, but there is more. This past weekend Brown told theshiver.com he could easily add KU again. An AAU team mate of Turner, don't count KU out yet for his services.

Agelo Chol

Once ranked in the 20s Chol has fell back to #76. He will be in attendance for Late Night, and could possibly take his services to KU. Though a short 6'8 for a center who better then Manning to mold him into a PF.

Time Will Tell!

Will KU land 5 of these studs no, Will they land 4 possibly, how about 3 Id bet on it. Landing 3 makes a top 5 class, landing 4 #2 class, it may get exciting, and time will tell on this story.
