Hearts are breaking wide open all across Husky nation tonight.  The word is out and it's official.  Terrence Jones has committed to a program, and it is with the University of Kentucky Wildcats.  Congratulations Wildcats fans! How does Calipari do it?

Well, however he does it, it's amazing.  He has just added the #2 small forward and the #9 overall player from the high school class of 2010 (according to ESPN) to create what has to be, without a doubt, the number one recruiting class in the country.

Jones, the 6'9" 220 pounder, will be joining the likes of Brandon Knight, Doron Lamb, Enes Kanter, and Stacey Poole, all of which were members of the ESPN top 100.  Along with Knight and Lamb, Jones makes the third McDonald's All-American for this UK squad.

Jones originally committed verbally to the University of Washington and even donned a UW cap on the occasion causing most to think it was a done deal....probably because that was less than a month ago (4/30).  Whether or not this announcement will come as a shock to the staff of UW is yet to be seen.  I am sure Jones' delay in announcement had them prepared for a possible worst case scenario.

Can you blame Jones for choosing UK?  I can't.  He will play immediately, have a chance at a national championship, and will be groomed for play at the next level.  What more does a young man want?

At this time Jones has only signed the financial aid documents and not the Letter of Intent (http://scouthoops.scout.com/2/971221.html)....Curious???
