Villanova vs. Notre Dame: Live Score, Highlights and Reaction

No. 1 Villanova stormed back from an 11-point deficit in the first half to upend No. 23 Notre Dame 74-66 in Saturday afternoon's Never Forget Tribute Classic at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. 

The Wildcats (10-0) were led by senior star Josh Hart's 37 points and 11 rebounds on a day where the rest of the team struggled offensively. Hart slung the team on his back, particularly in the second half, and took control late to lead his team to a 16th straight win.

Villanova hasn't lost since dropping the Big East tournament final to Seton Hall last March.

The Fighting Irish (9-1) were seeking their first signature win of the young season. They led most of the way but couldn't hold back the defending national champs down the stretch.

Matt Farrell and Steve Vasturia each scored 18 points for Notre Dame in the losing effort.
