ESPN Introduced a New Camera Angle for Michigan-Ohio State and It Didn't Go Well
ESPN tried a new camera angle during Tuesday night’s contest between Michigan and Ohio State.
It was not well-received.
Instead of the typical wide view, which allows fans to see the entire floor, this new one was from the perspective of a courtside seat. That’s a cool idea but also a problematic one.
Here’s why:
Kelly Hall, a student reporter for Michigan’s newspaper, caught up with a camerawoman, who didn’t seem thrilled with the new angle (h/t SB Nation):
"Believe it or not, I just ran into one of ESPN camerawomen in the bathroom. She said that she can't pan without hitting anyone...

"She told me that she's sure fans are "blowing them up" on Twitter...I assured her that they were.

Hey, you’ll never know unless you try. ESPN now knows never to use this angle again.
