AP College Basketball Poll 2013: Complete Week 20 Standings Released
College basketball conference tournaments are in the books, the NCAA field of 68 has been announced and The Associated Press is still going to make sure we know where each team stands heading into March Madness starting on Tuesday.
Although the main numbers we're going to be looking at when it comes to the rest of the college basketball season are firmly marked in front of each team's name on the 2013 NCAA tournament bracket, The AP's last look this season at the best teams in the country can still help you pick winners throughout the Big Dance.
Gonzaga reigns supreme heading into March Madness, followed by fellow No. 1 seeds Louisville, Kansas and Indiana. Ohio State moves closer to the top at No. 7 in the poll, an indicator of how hot the new Big Ten tournament champions have been since last losing in late February.
Which No. 1 seed is your NCAA tournament favorite?
Biggest movers from this week include New Mexico, which vaulted into the Top 10 in a tie with Michigan. Also noteworthy are Wisconsin and Oregon, the last of which moved into the Top 25 after winning the Pac-12 tournament over the weekend.
The Ducks, despite winning the Pac-12 tournament, are a No. 12 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Mid-majors Creighton, Saint Louis and Memphis all crack the Top 25 this week—three teams to pay attention to on your brackets in March. Virginia Commonwealth, another noted upset candidate, was the only team to drop out of the rankings this week after losing the Atlantic 10 tournament title to Saint Louis.
