Vote for the Bleacher Report NFL Writer of the Year Award
Being an NFL community leader, I like to think that the NFL community has the best collection of writing talent on Bleacher Report.
Normally, we would be giving out the NFL Community Weekly Awards today. But this week, as The Highlander would say, there can be only one.
And Iโm not picking the winner, you are.
Itโs time to give out the Bleacher Report NFL Writer of the Year award. The candidates were chosen by your NFL Community Leaders and approved of by Bleacher Report management. The winner will be decided by you.
Vote for your favorite NFL writer in the poll on the left. We'll announce the winner on Sunday.

The winner gets more than just the prestigious title of Bleacher Report NFL Writer of the Year, they get a Bleacher Report t-shirt.
So, without further adieu, here are your candidates:
Heโs made a name for himself in the NFL community with his Bears Roundtables. His coverage of the Chicago Bears is better than anything youโd read in a newspaper.
His profile says that his goal is to crack the top 50 writers on Bleacher Report. Iโm not sure what the actual rankings say (I'm very lazy), but as far as Iโm concerned, mission accomplished. And then some.
Daniel Cox has had me in stitches all season long with his NFL Letters to the League series. Bleacher Reportsโ Falcons community leader watched his quarterback win offensive rookie of the year. What better way to follow it up than winning Bleacher Report NFL Writer of the Year?
The former Dr. Poove is one of Bleacher Reportsโ Cleveland Browns community leaders. Since most of us couldnโt stand watching the Browns this year, he was our eyes and ears in the Cleveland organization.
Angel Navedo is a huge Jets fan, but I try not to hold that against him. Heโs a writing machine. He gets more reads than almost anyone. I donโt think Iโve ever given an article of his less than four-stars, and I was probably in a bad mood that day.
Speaking of writing machines, Raider Card Addict puts almost all of us to shame. He churns out articles faster, and better, than the paid media. Heโs an Oakland Raider community leader, and it takes a REAL man to lead that community. RCA is the No. 2-ranked NFL writer, and will eventually overtake that chump whoโs ahead of him.
I had to include Jeff Little in the candidates because, frankly, heโs never written an article that wasnโt well thought out, brilliantly written, entertaining, and informative. Definitely a quality over quantity deal here. Little doesnโt write as often as some, but when he does, I make sure I read it.
When I wrote my Carolina Panthers preview, I said they were a six-win team. Matt Gilmartin respectfully disagreed with my assessment. Five months later, I couldnโt have been more wrong and heโs nominated for NFL Writer of the Year.
His Denver Broncos coverage has been spectacular. And the man already has a 2009 mock draft up. Schmucks like me, who root for a team that isnโt playing anymore, are extremely grateful.
Well, there you have it. Make sure you vote. Congratulations to all of the nominees. Keep up the good work in 2009!
