  4. Robert Griffin III Must Protect Himself in Return to Lineup

It seems quarterback Robert Griffin III is on his way to starting for the Cleveland Browns this Sunday when the Browns host the Cincinnati Bengals. Cleveland head coach Hue Jackson and his staff would do well to remind Griffin playing well and winning aren't his only goals once he returns from the injury he suffered in the opening week of the 2016 season.

Griffin is auditioning to remain Cleveland's starter through the end of the 2016 campaign and into the upcoming offseason, and thus it's understandable he will want to excel whenever he next guides the club's offense onto the field. With that said, Griffin should be reminded he is worth little, if anything, to the Browns if he fails to prove he can remain healthy through 16 quarters of football between now and the end of January 1.

Cleveland rookie QB Cody Kessler suffered a concussion when the Browns played the Bengals this past October, and Cincinnati's defense hassled Philadelphia Eagles rookie starter Carson Wentz throughout last Sunday's game. Per, the Bengals accumulated 11 total QB hits versus Philadelphia.

In short, RG3 needs to learn from mistakes made by Kessler and journeyman Josh McCown over the past several months. Throwing the ball away or falling to the ground to take a sack will, in certain instances, be the right decision for Griffin on Sunday afternoon.

  17. Browns Should Play Duke Johnson at Wide Receiver

Cleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson averaged fewer than five carries per game in Cleveland's first 12 contests of the 2016 campaign. He gained a total of only 271 rushing yards in those 12 games, and it is clear he is behind Isaiah Crowell on the depth chart in the eyes of head coach Hue Jackson.

Jackson should consider lining Johnson up at wide receiver over the next month.

Johnson currently has 45 receptions, good for second behind only Terrelle Pryor on the Browns, and the second-year pro has proved himself to be a useful weapon in the Cleveland passing attack while playing alongside veteran quarterback Josh McCown. Robert Griffin III could use a speedy target such as Johnson once he is physically able to return to the field.

Jackson and the Browns have little to lose thinking outside the box this holiday season.

  21. Will Browns Move On from Austin Pasztor After the 2016 Season?

Offensive tackle Austin Pasztor may not have a home with the Cleveland Browns past the 2016 regular season.

Per Spotrac, Pasztor will become a free agent in 2017 unless the Browns sign him before the new NFL year begins. Pasztor performed admirably earlier in the season, but he has since gone through an up-and-down campaign. The 26-year-old struggled in pass protection in the team's past several games, and those running the Browns may need to move him to guard at some point in December.

Pasztor's future with the club remains in doubt for several reasons. Guards Joel Bitonio and John Greco should return to Cleveland's lineup next summer as long as they recover from injuries. The Browns may also have to move Cameron Erving to guard in 2017 to get the most out of the center the club selected in the first round of the 2015 draft.

The situation could change, however, if the Browns trade starting left tackle Joe Thomas before the 2017 draft.

  24. Browns Must Evaluate Isaiah Crowell Over Final Four Weeks of the Season

The 0-12 Cleveland Browns are about to enter what is essentially an extended preseason as the franchise evaluates the futures of multiple players. Running back Isaiah Crowell is one example.

Per Spotrac, Crowell will be a restricted free agent following the 2016 regular season. He began the campaign as one of the hottest backs in the league, but he has largely become a non-factor in the Cleveland offense over the past eight games. The 23-year-old last rushed for 100 yards in a game all the way back on October 2, and he has found the end zone only twice in Cleveland's last eight contests.

Keeping Crowell past this season likely wouldn't cost the Browns a fortune, but were the club to allow Crowell to enter free agency if he fails to impress during Cleveland's last four games, it wouldn't generate much national buzz.

  27. Browns Should Bench Jamie Collins

Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson needs to consider benching linebacker Jamie Collins for at least a half when the Browns play on December 11.

Collins appeared to give up on a play that resulted in New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. scoring a touchdown in the second quarter of Sunday's game at FirstEnergy Stadium. Replays showed Collins had an angle to potentially prevent Beckham from finding the end zone, but the linebacker slowed to a jog as Beckham ran down the right sideline.

The Browns are 0-12, but that doesn't excuse such in-game behavior.

Jackson needs to send a clear message to Collins and also to younger players in the Cleveland locker room. The Browns may lose because of a lack of talent, but a lack of effort shouldn't be tolerated by any head coach. Collins deserves to sit for at least an entire half following his antics on November 27.
