Jeff Writes About

The Short List What Jeff thinks about sport's most pressing questions

  • Favorite Athletes

Jim Brown, Bob Feller, Bernie Kosar, Mark Price, Charles Nagy, LeBron James, Victor Martinez, Kellen Winslow, Phil Dawson, Charles Barkley, Lou Gehrig, Otto Graham

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers, Ohio State Buckeyes

  • Favorite Coaches

Paul Brown, Marty Schottenheimer, Woodu Hayes, Jim Tressel, Mike Hargrove, Lenny Wilkins, Vince Lombardi

  • All Time Sports Moment

Hasn't happened yet. Cleveland needs to win something while I am alive first.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Joe Dimaggio - 56 game hitting streak.

  • Ruth or Mays?

Mays. Despite sending the Tribe into a tailspin in 1954. Better all around player.

  • Unitas or Montana?

    Otto Graham

  • Jordan or Russell?

Jordan. This from a Cavs fan.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

    Gretzky. No doubt.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Nicklaus until Tiger passes him. Ultimately, it will be Tiger.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

The Intimidator. Petty may be a bit more iconic but I think Dale Sr. left more of an imprint on the sport.

  • Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

Big Ten. I'm a homer. But it's nowhere near the best conference in football or basketball. In fact, it downright stinks right now.

  1. Jeff,
You deserved the nomination. Great job this season!

What you don't deserve is having to put up with Eric Mangini....

  2. Jeff,

You've been nominated for the Bleacher Report NFL Writer of the Year award. Congratulations!

Make sure you cast your vote (presumably for yourself). :)

  4. Hey Jeff

I actually got around to writing a positive story for once, and about the Dolphins no less.

If you get time I'd love for you to check it out.

  5. Even though we like rival teams, I second that license plate.

  6. Jeff, I'm thinking things have been happening that we haven't heard. They were shopping him around before this. They know how Rosenhaus does. He did it with T.O. and Shockey. First they're not being treated fairly, they make public statements that pi$$ off the organization. The idea is to make the team want rid of him so bad that they take less than he's worth. Then they tell the next team he was cheap so they deserve a BIG contract. We're going to see Rosenhaus barred within 2 years. I guarantee you that he's already talking to teams about K2 illegally. Everyone in the league knows he does this but no one's taken the trouble to deal with him.

  7. Jeff - Very sorry, but I was out of town on business this week.

I'm happy to participate next week.

    Go Browns!

  8. Jeff, I've been looking at some history and I think Rosenhaus tries to get his clients alienated from their team. The Terrell Owens thing started with him whining that Philly didn't recognize his 100 touchdown catch. He took it public and ended up out of Philly. Winslows going public and he's going to be out of Cleveland. Now Rosenhaus is free to negotiate some sick contract with whatever team ends up getting K2. In both cases, once they were suspended they started talking about how much they loved the team, city and fans. Rosenhaus is a weasel.

  9. Jeff,

First of all love the license plate, one of the best I've ever seen.

Second, I have a few articles you may like, if you have some time check them out.

Let me know what you think, thanks!

And keep up the good work, I'm liking reading your stuff!

    Bob

  10. Jeff my brother, what hell is the skinny on the K2 stuff? From what I've heard, he's not being too much of a jerk, but has a genuine reason to be....so many staph infections....its unreal. What's going on over there?

When will Romeo just give Brady a shot...he CAN'T be any worse, and if he is, you can put DA back in...we just can't continue this utter ineptitude, its just so hard to watch. And the defense is actually making some plays.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on these ideas.

  11. i absolutely hate your license plate, i tried but cant fit Browns Hater on one, lol
