Sayre's Bio
My name is Sayre Bedinger, and I am a journalism major at the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I joined B/R via a Facebook advertisement, but kind of pushed it to the side for a while. During baseball season of 2008, I got an itch to share my opinion on the Cubs with someone other than the good folks back on Facebook, so I wrote an article on Bleacher Report. The rest, as they say, is history.
Since then, I have become the number one writer for the Broncos as well as the Community Leader for my favorite pro sports team. My love of writing for the Broncos got me my own blog at www.broncosbanter.com which I am proud to say I share with two great writers, Henry Gula and Tanner Thoms (also Bleacher Creatures). My devotion to the Broncos has also gotten me Syndicated writer status, and I will be doing work for NFLTouchdown.com. I frequent the Broncos blog MileHighReport.com, which I feel is the very best Broncos blog there is available. Even though I love the Broncos, I am open and willing to any discussion of any NFL team. I have been known as a "homer" in my day, but I wear that with pride. I feel that I can see the bright side of anything, while being objective at the same time. To me, there is no better fan than a "homer".
In addition, I surprisingly found out recently that I am the number one Chicago Bulls writer, which is quite an honor for me. I have been a Bulls fan since I was young, mostly due to the influence of my older brothers and a lifelong obsession with Michael Jordan. I currently am the biggest John Salmons fan.
Once baseball season rolls around, I love to write about and watch any and every Cubs game I can. Whether it be ESPN, WGN, or even MLB.com, I love me some Cubs baseball. This summer will mark my first trip to Wrigley Field, so Chicago get ready.
I also plan on becoming a cog in the Iowa Hawkeyes football community, even though my favorite player, Shonn Greene, has moved on to the NFL. I began documenting his Iowa career prior to the season, and have continued to do so up to this point. I plan on continuing that all through his career if I can.
While the accolades and the rankings and all of that are fun, I'm here for one reason, and one reason only: To share my opinion of sports in a professional and creative manner. If you need any help with anything, or would like me to check an article of yours out, just post on my bulletin board or E-Mail me at sb147474@yahoo.com.
Thanks for stopping by my writer profile!

Many believe that it takes a few years for QBs and WRs to adjust to the league--in fact, many fantasy players take into account the third-year wide receiver myth when drafting their team. As well, many others think that a running back loses his wheels at age 30. (Just look at Shaun Alexander.)
As far as I know, nobody has ever covered the topic of "aging curves" in regards to the NFL. When you think of a player's peak age, do you think of 26? Or 28?
Or none of the above?
In this article, I calculate a player's career aging curve by position and apply that to the preconceived notions about QBs, RBs, and WRs.

Give this a read. So far, the O's outfield trio of Nolan Reimold, Adam Jones, and Nick Markakis are getting credit. And they deserve it. Reimold is a ROTY candidate, Jones is an All Star and Markakis is himself. But what other Oriole deserves credit?

Give this a look. The O's pitching trio of Brian Matusz, Chris Tillman, and Jake Arrieta were the most important piece of the minor leagues going into the year. So how have they done this year? Check it out.
