Angel's Bio

I'm 25, live in Brooklyn, and am working towards a journalism degree from CUNY Baruch College. Between school and writing, I find a living evaluating media rights, contracts, and licenses at a well-known cable television network.

Writing is a passion for me, but I have a strong desire to make things happen. I'm no longer in the business of chasing dreams. Aspirations are for the hesitant.

In addition to writing for Bleacher Report, I contribute my Jets-related thoughts to SNY's partner at TheJetsBlog.com, cover the New York Jets for "The Ticker" at Baruch, and am the Head Writer at NYJetsFan.com.

Links to my articles have appeared on the websites for CBS Sports, Fox Sports, the New Jersey Star-Ledger, and the New York Times.

As one of B/R's Community Leaders for the NFL and the New York Jets, my aim is to inspire readers, help writers, and make the site stronger as a whole. The goal is to make B/R a legitimate source for quality sports journalism.

  4. Adrian Peterson is arguably the best running back in the NFL. Even as an Eagles fan, I love to watch him play.

But the Vikings better be sure not to overwork him in the upcoming years...

  9. Hey Angel,

Congratulations on your continued success. The Jets and the NFL community is better off by having you here on B/R. I'm the Chargers CL and as such I usually don't branch out of writing about San Diego.

I wrote this humor article about the Raiders, I think it's pretty good. I don't know, maybe you think differently. Check it out if you can.

  10. Part Two of my short series " A Lookback At The 2006 NFL Draft" is here. This time, it is the surprises of this draft thus far. Check it out when you have time. Appreciate any feedback given!

  11. Here's a piece about Brian Westbrook's place in Philadelphia Eagles history. I would appreciate any feedback that you have to give. Thanks.

  12. There are some athletes you're not allowed to criticize.

Michael Jordan. Tiger Woods. Lance Armstrong.

Sandy Koufax is one of those guys.

I've always felt he was overrated. I hear people talk about him as the greatest left-handed pitcher of all-time, and I've never agreed.

I did a little bit of research and this is what I came up with. I would love if you could take a look. I spent more time on this than any article I have ever written in my entire life, and as a result, it is LONG.

I actually had to trim it a little - evidently articles can't be over 5,000 words - but I like what I came up with. You don't have to read it all, but I would love if you would.

    Thanks.
    Cody Swartz

  13. Kirk Morrison needs to step it up this year for the Raiders, as this could be a make or break year for him going into his fifth year. Is he overrated or is he the real deal?
