Updated NFL Fantasy Football Rankings, Week 14: Top 60 WRs for the Rest of 2010

Nick CaronDec 10, 2010

This is the Wes Welker that we have all come to know and love. Though he hasn’t cracked the 100-yard mark at all this season, Welker remains a PPR stud as he pushes toward another 100-reception season. He started the season with three touchdowns in his first two games, but then fell into a seven-week dry spell.

He seems to be being used end the red zone more now, though, as he has caught four touchdown passes in the past three weeks. He may not be a fantasy stud, but he is certainly startable as an upper-end WR2. He moves up four spots to to 14th among WR’s.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice is back on the field and should be back into many of his owners’ fantasy lineups. The Vikings may have a revolving door at quarterback with Brett Favre and Tarvaris Jackson, but both quarterbacks seem to love throwing to their stud wide receiver who caught five passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns last week in Minnesota’s win over Buffalo.

He does have tough matchups remaining against the Giants, Bears and Eagles, but as long as his quarterbacks have faith in him, he should continue to be a fantasy force.

The New York Giants are getting healthy as they enter the most important month of their season. Both receivers, Hakeem Nicks and Steve Smith, are expected to be back this week and while they will need time to get healthy again, both players are certainly fantasy relevant.

Mario Manningham’s value will be hurt the most by the return of these two as he hasn’t been quite what we expected while they were out and he will have even less of an opportunity now.

Randy Moss has become a complete fantasy non-factor and would be off this list entirely if he didn’t have his physical ability. The Titans just don’t seem to have any interest in making use of him and he didn’t see a single pass go his way on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, Kenny Britt is back and seems to be healthy as he made some great catches and was targeted many times by Kerry Collins. Britt’s value is moving back up to 28th while Randy Moss struggles to hang on at 39th.

With rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant now on the IR, Miles Austin and Roy Williams will see a slight boost in their values up to 20th and 45th respectively. Jon Kitna continued to be productive even without Bryant so it seems likely that both of his top remaining receivers have a chance to be fantasy relevant toward the end of the season.

Neither player has been what we perceived them to be going into the year, but hey—it’s better late than never.
