The Greatest WrestleMania Match of All Time Tournament: Rules and Final Brackets

Eric KanesContributor IIIMarch 11, 2011

What's up, Bleachers of Bleacher Report? My name is Eric Kanes and you may already know me from my weekly RAW and SmackDown reviews. This year WWE will be holding the 27th annual WrestleMania and in anticipation of the event, I will be hosting "The Greatest WrestleMania Match of All Time" tournament. This is a tournament where you, the Bleacher Report readers, will vote on and decide the greatest WrestleMania match in history.

Here is how this tournament will be run - there will be 4 #1 seeds, 4 #2 seeds, 4 #3 seeds, and so on until we reach eight for each bracket. The final brackets and posting schedule will be posted at the bottom of this page but first, let's go over some rules.

-The 32 matches in this tournament and their seeds were decided by me. I understand that we all have different opinions on what makes a great match which is fine. If you feel strongly about a match, feel free to use the comment section to convince people to vote for it.

-If you want to know why a certain match is not part of this tournament, the answer will always be, "I didn't think it was good enough." I didn't forget anything. I've seen every WrestleMania, seeing nine of them live and being in attendance for two of them. If it's not there, I felt that it's not good enough. Simple as that.

-The brackets are named after Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, and Mark Henry because three of those are my favorite wrestlers of all time and one is the f*cking Kool-Aid man. How can I not give him his own bracket?

-Rather than putting polls up, I will simply post each bracket and allow you guys to vote in the comment section. Feel free to justify why you voted for each match.
