Seattle Seahawks: 2013 Initial 53-Man Roster Predictions

The Seattle Seahawks have a few hours left to trim their roster down to 53 players. One thing that is certain is there will be a surprise or three in store for fans.

Pete Carroll could opt to part ways with the ailing Michael Robinson, and there is reason to believe that Chris Clemons and his $6 million 2013 contract could be seen as dead weight.

The team certainly could use Clemons on the field with Cliff Avril injured and Bruce Irvin sitting out a suspension, but there has been no word on when the team's leading pass-rusher will be able to get on the field.

To be fair, Carroll said the team had a big decision to make. He didn't specify if it was the 53-man roster, placing him on the physically unable to perform list or releasing the player.

The latter option seems unlikely, but so did Russell Wilson's ascent. 

One roster spot that is in flux is that of Michael Bowie. He could end up on injured reserve after suffering a shoulder injury in the team's final preseason game.
