Every year, football teams come out with a new kit for the team, the public and, of course, for money.
FC Barcelona is no different.
Without further ado, here are Barça's 2013-14 kits.
Last week, Sports.es revealed the design of the kits for next season. As you can see, Barcelona will return to the traditional defined lines of the blaugrana. The current kit of 2012-13 went away from the defined lines for a blurred design.
A very interesting design idea by Nike, the home kit will be somewhat of a combination of the kits of the past three seasons. The kit is very similar to the 2009-10 kits, which had thinner defined lines.
The home kit will have a yellow collar like the 2010-11 kit. Finally, the home kit will have the fading or blurred design of this season's kit on the colors of the sleeves.
In case you were not aware, the new kits will have Qatar Airways on the front, as the airline will pay the club £25 million a year to be the shirt sponsor.
The road kit will be something special, as for the first time in Futbol Club Barcelona history, the club will sport the Senyera, which makes up the flag of Catalunya as well as other autonomous communities in the region.
As I mentioned in an earlier article discussing this road kit:
This is without a doubt the kit that will have the most significance in FC Barcelona history. The Senyera jersey will become a political statement for many Culés. You don't have to be politically savvy to wear the kit, but you should at least do a bit of research to understand why this kit will be so important. I will certainly get a customized "Xoel" kit, as well as a Xavi kit.
The third or alternative kit will be black once again. The details of this kit have been a bit mixed. One design has the kit having a yellow collar with black and grey strips, while the design from Sport.es shows a black collar with a yellow strip on the sides down to the sleeves.
Whichever design it turns out to be, the black kit will be nice.
FC Barcelona will also have special pregame shirts the team will wear. The shirt will have the aerial view of the Barcelona district of Eixample on it. This is another way, along with the Senyera kit, that Barcelona are paying homage to their city and land.
For me, I will get a home kit, as I always do every year. For the road kit, I will get a customized "Xoel" kit because the Senyera kit will be a special kit to own for all Culés. I might get the third kit but maybe later in the 2013-14 season.
Take a look at some of the photos of the kits from the Web.
The kits are expected to be officially revealed in late May.
Let us know what you think of the kits in the comments section below.
