Tim Tebow Is the Denver Broncos' Best Quarterback Since John Elway

Hate if you wish. Criticize if you want. Joke if you will.

But Tim Tebow simply wins football games.

He is currently 5-1 as the Denver Broncos' starter this season. He has played completely mistake-free football while doing just enough on the field to win games.

More importantly, his leadership, willpower and winning attitude are turning this franchise around. Nobody expected anything out of the Broncos this year, after they lost Jay Cutler, Peyton Hillis and Brandon Marshall over the last few years.

In came an unproven John Fox at coach, a trustworthy John Elway in the front office, a studly Von Miller and a polarizing quarterback in Tim Tebow.

Suddenly, the Broncos are contending for an AFC West title in an albeit weak division.

On October 12th, I boldly predicted that Tim Tebow would lead the Broncos to a 6-10 record this season. Upon publishing the article, the vast majority of readers thought this was a joke, and quickly assumed that the Broncos were tanking the remainder of the season with Tebow at the helm.

Just six weeks later, everything has changed.

After a Week 6 bye week, Tim Tebow has led the Broncos to wins against the Dolphins, the Raiders, the Chiefs, the Jets and the Chargers. In all, these wins have come against a team that has played in consecutive AFC Championship games and against three divisional opponents.

He took over a team that was 1-4 and has been the only change the team has made. He is the reason for their turnaround. There is no doubt that this transformation has required a great defense as well as an altered playbook, but ultimately, Tim Tebow wins games.

The remainder of the schedule is still tough, with games at Chicago and at New England. Nonetheless, Tim Tebow will finish the season 3-2, and will ultimately lead the Broncos to an AFC West title.
