Well, they just did that.
Guida and Henderson fought it out for three rounds of an epic war between two insanely entertaining fighters, with Henderson escaping a couple of good submission attempts from Guida.
What We'll Remember About This Fight
Just how awesome it was. Both fighters stood and traded and when it went to the ground, it was exciting as well. Guida had Henderson in a couple of submission attempts that he somehow got out of and showed how tough he really is.
What We Learned About Ben Henderson
That he is super tough even in times of adversity. He will need that toughness against Frankie Edgar when the two meet for the UFC lightweight title.
What We Learned About Clay Guida
Guida is as tough as Henderson and was rocked early on. I don't care if he goes to the back of the lightweight title line, he will be back.
What's Next for Henderson?
Bendo was announced as the No. 1 contender for Frankie Edgar's title. Probably set up for UFC 143 in Japan.
What's Next for Guida?
Guida is back to the end of the line and will most likely face one of the lower-ranked guys trying to get into the title picture.
