San Francisco 49ers vs. Washington Redskins: Spread Info, Line and Predictions

Sunday will give us a showdown between two of the best teams of the 1980's and 1990's who haven't done a lot since those years.

The 6-1 San Francisco 49ers will travel across the country to take on the 3-4 Washington Redskins

San Francisco is 3-0 on the road this season, with all three games coming in the Eastern Time Zone, which is where Sunday's game will take place.

The 49ers have a stranglehold in the NFC West, with a four-game lead. Washington is three games behind the 5-2 New York Giants, and are tied with the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.

Washington enters Sunday on a three-game losing streak, while the 49ers are winners of five straight.

Where: FedEx Field. Bethesda, Maryland.

When: Sunday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. EST

Watch: Fox

49ers (-4), according to Bodog.

Even on the road, the 49ers should take this one and cover. These two teams are headed in dramatically different directions.

The Redskins' offense just doesn't match up with the 49ers' defense.

38, according to Bodog.

This is close. My prediction below goes over, but not by much. I would advise not betting this. But if you do, lean towards the over.

Key Injuries

Scott Halleran/Getty Images

49ers' DT Ray McDonald is doubtful, while FB Moran Norris is questionable.

Also, WR Joshua Morgan is on Injured Reserved and out for the year.

Redskins' RB Tashard Choice and WR Santana Moss are out.

Redskins' S Oshiomogho Atogwe, CB Phillip Buchanon, TE Fred Davis and T Trent Williams are probable.

Also, RB Tim Hightower and TE Chris Cooley are out for the year.

Fantasy Big Plays

49ers' RB Frank Gore is rapidly turning into the best fantasy play every week. He's bankable every week. In a pinch, Kendall Hunter is a good play. He's one big play away from being worth your while, even in a limited role.

49ers' WR Braylon Edwards had a nice return to action against Cleveland. Most of that success came on a short slant route. Given the Redskins' pass rushing prowess, look for them to do that again.

The 49ers will finish 12-4 this season.

Keys to 49ers' Win

If the secondary has even an average game, they will cruise to a win here.

Keys to Redskins' Win

QB John Beck can't turn the ball over. Also, while the 49ers' run defense is great, the Redskins need to find a way to get some rushing offense. John Beck is not a good enough quarterback to carry a one-dimensional team.

49ers 27, Redskins 13.

The Redskins are just in a massive slide right now. Even in Washington, the 49ers are just a better team. Washington's matchups just don't work well against San Francisco.
