Tom Brady: Wes Welker Will Help Patriots Quarterback Bounce Back in Week 4
When looking back at the New England Patriots' 34-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills there are only two things that I can conclude.
1. I was wrong about the Patriots.
2. I was wrong about the Bills.

Before the NFL weekend kicked off I wrote a few pieces about what NFL teams I felt were locks to not only cover the spread, but to win.
The Patriots were a team that I expected to cover and win easy, even going against an upstart 2-0 Buffalo Bills team.
The Bills were hot and everybody knew it, yet I chose to not believe in their hype and put my faith in the quarterback that had thrown for nearly 1,000 yards in his first two games. Hereās what I had to say before the game:
"As far as stats are concerned, the Bills and Patriots match up pretty well on paper this season.
The Bills have looked great to start the season, but I don't think they will be able to keep it up against the Patriots.
Defensively, New England should be able to slow down the Bills offense, while on the other side of the ball there is no way Buffalo can stop them.
New England will cover this spread. Don't buy into the Bills hype just yet.
"
Apparently I was wrong because not only did the Bills cover the spread, which was set at -7½, but they pulled out the upset win with a field goal at the end.
Itās always hard to eat crow, especially when it comes down to the Bills beating the Patriots, but I have to admit that the Bills are a legitimate team.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is turning out to be a good quarterback, and the defense is much better than any of us expected.
Tom Brady looked to have a good game when you check out his stat line. He completed 30 of 45 for 387 yards and four touchdowns.
Seems like just another day at the office for Brady, but if you read on you will notice that the Bills forced Mr. Perfect into four interceptions, which equals the total amount of interceptions that he threw in the 2010 season.
Other than that the Patriots looked great on offense. Wes Welker broke a Patriots record with 16 catches, and those totaled out to an astonishing 216 yards and two touchdowns.
Had it not been for those interceptions the Patriots would have cruised to an easy win.
The Bills proved to be the better team though, as they beat the Patriots at home to stay undefeated with a shocking 3-0 record.
For Patriots fans that may be worried I would urge you to calm down.
Minus the interceptions Brady looked great, and Wes Welker is emerging as one of the most consistent playmaking wide receivers in the NFL.
Moving forward the Patriots will be just fine. Bill Belichick wonāt allow them to sulk for too long, but believe you me; heās going to get on them about this loss.
They have another tough matchup on the road against Oakland next week, but I think with the help of Welker, Brady and the Patriots will bounce back.
