NFL Power Rankings Week 2: Why Tampa Bay Buccaneers Will Crack the Top 10

Tampa Bay is a team on the rise. They currently sit right in the middle of the pack at No. 14 in our power rankings, but they will quickly be moving up from that ranking.

The Bucs have gotten off to a slow start, but they are still 1-1 on the season. This defense has struggled but it is a talented group.

The Bucs have shown the ability to stop teams, they just haven't put it together for a full game. That is not surprising considering how young this team is and the fact there were no OTAs this season.

The Bucs are gritty enough to stay in games where they aren't at their best, and they are talented enough to dominat them when they are.

QB Josh Freeman is growing into an excellent quarterback. I expect this team to get better each week.

They are currently 31st in the NFL in rushing yards allowed. This is way too high a number for a defensive line as talented as this one. That young group will begin to stiffen up. And they will receive more help from their linebackers. Rookie LB Mason Foster has been promising early this season, and he is only going to get better.
