Getting in the WrestleMania Spirit! Part 4: Stage Setups!

Ray SamuelsJun 4, 2018

This is a multiple part slide-show series I will be writing here on Bleacher Report to get all of you Bleachers in the WrestleMania Spirit! I really just want to do something creative to get you guys flamed up once a month in anticipation for this year’s WrestleMania.

Since there is roughly one month to go till WrestleMania XXVII in Atlanta, Georgia, I will be pumping out one to three slide shows a month, with the last of the installments out the day of WrestleMania. If you want to view the previous slideshow(s), please click on the links below. If not, keep on reading! Let’s get started on this!

Part 1: Pyrotechnics

First off, I want to apoligize to my fans, and also those of you who care about my writing, about the fact that I haven't been putting out too much content lately. As you know, I bought that horrible Victory Road PPV by TNA, and because of that, TNA decided to give me a trial for TNA On Demand which I'm thoroughly enjoying. So, to be quite honest, I find myself watching old TNA main events from PPV's then writing down articles for you readers, to my great dismay.

But of course, it is WrestleMania season and spring break! So, I vow to put out more writing for the next little while for those of you who care. Anywho, back to the slideshow!

Each and every year, one of the things that really excites me for WrestleMania are the stages that are set up, as each and every year, they are different. Some are thematic, representative of the city hosting WrestleMania, while some are just...well, creatively designed with really no purpose.

Still, it's amazing how the team sets up the stage for WrestleMania as it takes weeks and in some cases, months to redesign an old stadium and make it spectacular for the people in attendance, and the people experiencing WrestleMania through their TV sets.

So, if you haven't caught my drift yet, in this slide-show, I will be ranking out the best WrestleMania set up's and stages of the last 10 years! Without further ado, let's get started!

10. WrestleMania 21

1 of 11

Here to start us off is WrestleMania 21, where the WWE went Hollywood! This set is just great given the WrestleMania goes Hollywood sign in the left, and also the "Now Showing (Insert Match Here)" sign was a really great sight! Great stuff by the stage designers!

9. WrestleMania 22

2 of 11

I really loved the banners all around the stadium that were placed. It really gave a touch of class to this set. On top of that, I was digging the pyrimid design for this WrestleMania. And the little black squares on the screen made for a better screen!

8. WrestleMania 19

3 of 11

I really loved the curved way to the ring that the WWE made. On top of that, the design for this WrestleMania and the logo placed on the set was just absolutely incredible! I definately want WWE to come back to Safeco Field one day or another!

7. WrestleMania XX

4 of 11

Here at Number 6, we have the grand stage of WrestleMania XX. I really loved this stage mainly because of the background, and also the screen on the floor! It was a nice setup, and really reflected New York well because of the background that displayed the high rised buildings of New York!

6. WrestleMania X-8

5 of 11

First off, sorry for a realyl crap picture here. I just couldn't find one better. Anywho, at number 6, we have WrestleMania X-8. I don't really know what to say about this set except that it could have been much much better then it was. Still, it was a really good stage to say the least. I was really liking the toothpick building thing on both sides of the screen.

5. WrestleMania X-Seven

6 of 11

The greatest PPV of all time. Unfortunately for it, it wasn't the greatest designed stage of all time, in my books anyway. That being said, the WWE did a complete makover for the old Astrodome, truly making it look like a WrestleMania worthy venue.

4. WrestleMania XXV

7 of 11

Next up, we have the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania. The giant star was a really great touch to the set, and it really stood out. The strips of the screen were also amazing at times, as seen on this picture I've included here.

3. WrestleMania 23

8 of 11

This stage was just spectacular. From the momentI saw this stage, it became one of my most favorite set ups of all time. It was just great! I really loved the logo they placed on top of the screen. The two swirling supporting pillars for the screen were just a great sight to see!

2. WrestleMania XXVI

9 of 11

This was just the passing WrestleMania that occured last year! Infact, it was just one year ago today that this event took place!

Nevertheless, WWE did an incredible job spicing the University of Phoenix Stadium up! The Aztec pyramid set was just an incredible sight, and also the triangle surrounding the stage. Decent WrestleMania, but just a great set up!

1. WrestleMania XXIV

10 of 11

When this set first appeared on my 1080p HD television screen, I just said WOW. I had been to the Citrus Bowl before, and no offense to any fans of the Citrus Bowl, I found it as a complete dump and ugly building. And of course when WWE announced that WrestleMania 24 would be at the Citrus Bowl, I wasn't too thrilled.

Nontheless, when this set came up on my screen, I couldn't believe myself. The WWE had completely transformed this building into something WrestleMania worthy, and it was just a beautiful sight to see, especially at night!

Apparently, the set took a month to prepare, but I bet the crew though it was totally worth it when they were done!

What Will This Year's Look Like?

11 of 11

So, as to no surprise, one has to wonder what will this year's WrestleMania set up look like? It's really a question that we won't find out till Sunday, the day that millions will experience WrestleMania live.

I really like the idea of WWE setting up like the Madison Square Gardon set up, with buildings at the back, and a screen on the ground! But, that's just my opinion. I really want to know your guys's thoughts and predictions for this year's WrestleMania stage, so please don't hesitate to comment!

Also, I have 3 more "Getting in the WrestleMania Spirit!" slide-show's remaining that I will be pumping within this week, with the last of the installments out this Sunday!

Also, I will be having my Predictions for this year's WrestleMania card going on soon as well! So, if your interested in any of this things, please stick around as I have some good articles planned out for this week!

However, until then, this is Ray Samuels signing off!
