Getting in the Wrestlemania Spirit! Part 2: John Cena Entrances

0 of 7

This is a multiple part slide-show series I will be writing here on Bleacher Report to get all of you Bleachers in the Wrestlemania Spirit! I really just want to do something creative to get you guys flamed up once a month in anticipation for this year’s Wrestlemania.

Since there are roughly three months to go till Wrestlemania XXVII in Atlanta Georgia, I will be pumping out one to three slide shows a month, with the last of the installments out the day of Wrestlemania. If you want to view the previous slide-show(s), please click on the links below. If not, keep on reading! Let’s get started on this!

    Part 1: Pyrotechnics

Yes, I’m actually doing this slide-show. Its little things like these that make Wrestlemania extremely special in my eyes. They just build upon each other until you get the magnificence that is Wrestlemania. John Cena is going to be main-eventing Wrestlemania for a while longer so we might as well anticipate what his next entrance is going to be thematically now for the next few years now right?

Believe it or not, I actually have been anticipating John Cena’s entrances at Wrestlemania ever since Wrestlemania 23. It’s one of the high spots of the night for me. We learn something new about Cena every time he runs down that ramp with a different sort of entrance and it’s pretty amazing.

If you haven’t noticed by now, in this slide-show, I will be ranking John Cena’s previous 5 Wrestlemania entrances. Ever since Wrestlemania 22, he’s been coming out to a variety of thematic entrances that reflect either Cena himself or the city and stadium that is hosting Wrestlemania. So, without further adieu, let’s get started on this!

Wrestlemania 25: John Cena's Evolution?

1 of 7

I’m still kind of clueless as to what the theme was to this entrance. If you guys know, please leave it in the comments below cause I’d sure as heck love to know! Any who, you’d think that John Cena would have a better entrance for the 25th Anniversary of Wrestlemania, but hey, at least it’s better than coming out to plain music alone. To be perfectly honest, it wasn’t the best of entrances that Cena has had, but it was definitely unique.

Then again, all of Cena’s entrances are. But it’s always nice to see Basic Thuganomics being played in a WWE event as it brings back so many good memories.

Wrestlemania 26: Tribute To The Troops

The passing Wrestlemania in 2010! I don’t know much about the US seeing as I don’t live there but I could gather enough information while watching Wrestlemania XXVI that Phoenix and Arizona are strong supporters of the United States military.

So it was nice on Cena’s part to pay a tribute to the soldiers in his entrance. I was pretty amazed by the way those guys were pulling this off with their eyes blocked and especially when Cena walked through them.

Great display here! I enjoyed it!

Wrestlemania 23: Speed Racer

A really great tie into Wrestlemania 23 and both the city of Detroit and Ford Field. I enjoyed Cena’s drive onto the field.

The ending was great with the car going through a wall of glass. All I’m going to say is, it was one of the more “intense” entrances that Cena has done in his Wrestlemania career.

Man, I would sure like to own one of those Ford Mustang's right bout now!

Wrestlemania 24: College Baby!

4 of 7

Oh man did I love this entrance. I really loved the tie-in with the college football culture and the Citrus Bowl. I thought it was amazing to be quite honest.

The band was great as well providing the music to John Cena’s entrance instead of the usual music which I thought was great!

John Cena wearing his college jersey and walking down the ramp with the band playing and the cheerleader dancing around was great to see!

Wrestlemania 22: American Gangster

Ladies and Gentleman, here’s your number 1. I was pretty amazed to see John Cena pull this off. It was also a really great tie in to the city of Chicago, the new album the Cena just released, and the video “Bad bad man”.

So I thought it was an overall great entrance! I still watch it sometimes just to see Cena pull out the gun and shoot a few bullets.

By the way, one of the people that were holding the guns in the side of the car while it was entering the arena was none other than CM Punk! But you probably already knew that. Overall, great entrance by Cena here.
