Donovan McNabb Trade Fallout: Where Does Jason Campbell Go From Here?
In an Easter Day news shocker, the Eagles and Redskins pulled off what some may think is almost an unholy inter-division trade that sends quarterback Donovan McNabb to Washington for a second round pick in 2010 and a 2011 draft pick.
Now that McNabb will be the starter in the nation's capital, what does this mean for quarterback Jason Campbell?
Having had a rocky up-and-down career in Washington, it was assumed that since Campbell had just one year left on his current contract, the Redskins would keep him for one more year to give him one last chance, since it would be a cost effective move for the team.

With McNabb on board, Campbell seems dispensable, and National Football Post's Matt Bowen has already reported that Campbell's value would be in the fourth-round range if Washington were to move him.
There are many teams that are uncertain at the quarterback position and may be highly interested in acquiring Campbell, especially for a bargain price of a fourth-round pick.
Those teams may include: Jacksonville, Buffalo, Carolina, Oakland, and Seattle.
Campbell is still only 28, and even though he has struggled at times in his career, he still has a career quarterback rating of 82.3, and any of the above teams would gladly have Campbell join their roster in 2010, especially with the quarterback draft class not as strong as in past draft classes.
If there is a trade sending Campbell to a new team, look for it to happen sooner than later, since the Redskins will look to get a pick in this year's draft more than anything else.
Unlike when the Cleveland Browns traded quarterback Brady Quinn to the Denver Broncos for peanuts in March, the Redskins will get much more from a good quarterback who has seen some success during his short career in the NFL.
