2010 NFL Draft: How the Donovan McNabb Trade Affects Cleveland
Now that Donovan McNabb has been traded to the Washington Redskins, this could open the door for the Cleveland Browns get Sam Bradford.
Should the St. Louis Rams decide to pass on Sam Bradford with the No. 1 overall pick, the only other team that would've been interested in drafting him in the first round, Washington, now has other concerns to address with their first pick.
This isn't to say the Redskins still won't draft a quarterback this year; it's just now unlikely they will do it in the first round.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap šø
Cleveland Browns Team President Mike Holmgren already has expressed a lot of interest in Bradford, but the point was considered moot, as it had become consensus among draft experts that even if Bradford didn't go to St. Louis, then he would never make it past the Redskins.
The only wild card in this scenario would be the Seattle Seahawks, who might see Bradford as a good project to replace Matt Hasselback in a few years.
However, leapfrogging the Seahawks wouldn't be that problematic for the Browns if the Chiefs are willing to deal.
With a few weeks to go before the draft, things just keep on getting more interesting for the Cleveland front office.
The Rams have expressed serious interest in drafting Bradford, but there are very good reasons for the Rams to concentrate on other areas of the team in the first round. Plus, with the Redskins taking McNabb, that leaves one more quarterback on the table for the Rams at the beginning of the second round.
Jimmy Clausen can't be happy about this as the Browns have expressed little interest in him, and no other team seems very interested in drafting a quarterback in Round One.
Anything can happen on draft day, and things just got a little more unpredictable.
