Even though it took weeks to be worked out and mulled over Tom Cable will be the head coach for the Raiders for at least one more season. It's the first move of the off season that is very positive. I believe a lot of players had gotten fed up with the head coach  carousel that had been going on since Gruden got shipped out of town. Cable might not be one of the elite head coach's in the league but the players do play for him. With A head coah in place now the real fun begins.

Last year after Gradkowski got hurt and was done for the season many believed that Russell would finsih off the year. What ended up happening Frye finished of the season until he to got hurt and only then did Jamarcus get back onto the field. The major question now is what becomes of Russell. I truly believe when Al Davis asked Cable if he thinks Russell is the future he wasnt able to keep a straight face. It will be interesting to see how this situation develops. What I think will end up happening is Russell will not be named the starter off the bat but will have to fight it out in camp and if he does end up being named the started he will be on a short leash.

With the off season starting off positive let's hope that it continues into free agency and the draft. A offensive cordinator need's to be hired and someone that Davis trust's should be named GM. I have said a number of times on here when you need help just to walk you need hekp to run a NFL team, its just common sense.

Now to the players. A number of fre agents to be signed. Some have called for Howard and Morrison to let go. I think they are not able to show their full potential due to a weak D line. You put a beast next to Kelly and the whole defesne benefits. All of a sudden linebackers are able to fly around and cause havoc. The cornerback's and safety's not having to run aorund all day while the QB just pick's them apart all of sudden are really good. The Raiders need to address both the offensive and defensive lines in a major way. I would no way bash the team if the first 4 picks in the draft are all lineman.

Here's to 2010 being the return of domiance for the Raiders.
