Worth noting from today:

Hue Jackson is still in Oakland interviewing for a coaching position (his 3rd day), Baltimore Sun reports.

Mike Waufle is in the process of being hired as the defensive line coach today. He was the Giants defensive line coach for the past six seasons until getting relieved of his duties this season.

Lane Kiffin wants Tom Cable on his staff if Cable gets fired, reports.

Stat of the day:

The Raiders were a -13 in the turnover battle this season. That is the worst in the AFC.

Top story of the day:

It was a relatively slow day for news, so here's the best story...Jerry McDonald (Oakland Tribune Blog): Raiders adamant Jackson is O-coordinator candidate.

Thought(s) of the Day:

The Raiders are about to make a great hire by bringing in Mike Waufle. Waufle is a respected defensive line coach who had a long tenure in New York. He was fired in a big overhaul that included defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan. New York has consistently finished in the top 10 in sacks and rushing yards per attempt.

My second thought is about John Herrera. What does "vociferously" mean?
