Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid recently underwent a positive post-operative exam following surgery to address a fractured orbital bone.

According to a statement released by the team on Friday, surgeons were "pleased with how the affected area is presenting to date and will determine when it is safe and medically advisable for Embiid to return to play."

There is still no timetable for his return.

The club added that Embiid, who was also diagnosed with a concussion after colliding with Markelle Fultz on March 28, has been cleared by an independent neurologist.

In order to clear the NBA's concussion protocol, he must pass non-contact cardiovascular exertion steps.

At the time of the injury, ESPN.com's Zach Lowe reported Embiid could return to the floor within two to four weeks. Seventeen days will have elapsed by the time the NBA playoffs begin April 14.
