Kevin Ware on Louisville's NCAA Punishment: I 'Still Got This Fat Ass Ring'

After the NCAA announced Tuesday that the Louisville Cardinals men's basketball team would be forced to vacate its 2013 national championship, former Louisville guard Kevin Ware commented on Twitter.

Ware tweeted, "Still got this fat ass ring which means my guys definitely won a chip, if I'm not mistaken of course."

The NCAA Committee on Infractions determined that Louisville must surrender victories from the 2011-12 through 2014-15 seasons. Former staffer Andre McGee allegedly hired strippers to dance for and have sex with prospective recruits from 2010 through 2014.

Ware spent three seasons at Louisville. During the 2013 NCAA tournament, he suffered a gruesome leg injury against Duke in the Elite Eight.

Although Ware missed the Final Four, the team rallied around him and beat Michigan to win the national title.

Ware returned to play nine games for the Cardinals in 2013-14 before transferring to Georgia State.

In three seasons at Louisville, Ware averaged 3.1 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. He then put up 9.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest in two campaigns at Georgia State.

Ware currently plays for Faros Larissas of the Greek Basket League.
