LeBron James Appears Frustrated After Game 2, Calls Warriors 'Different Team'

Rob GoldbergJun 4, 2017

LeBron James clearly wasn't in a good mood after the Cleveland Cavaliers' NBA Finals Game 2 loss to the Golden State Warriors.

Per Rachel Nichols of ESPN, the superstar chose not to go to the podium for a press conference after Sunday's game. He still took questions in the locker room but wouldn't explain his reasoning, only noting that it had "nothing to do with wins and losses."

ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported that the delay in getting to the podium is the issue.

While reporters were able to reach him in the locker room, there was some awkward back-and-forth with the press, via NBA TV:

When questioned about defending home court, James simply asked the reporter, "Are you a smart guy?"

"If we don't defend home court, what happens?" he added, implying the obvious sweep.

James also said he only needs "some food and some wine" to recover from the game.

The four-time MVP was dominant individually Sunday, finishing with 29 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds in 39 minutes.

Unfortunately, the team was unable to slow down Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and the rest of the Warriors in a 132-113 final. Cleveland is now down 0-2 in the series and returns home for Game 3 on Wednesday.
