Murray Active vs. Jaguars

Sunday, Oct. 23

The Raiders announced that Murray was available against Jacksonville in Week 7.

Latest on Murray's Practice Status

Friday, Oct. 21

The Raiders announced Murray was a limited participant in practice for the third straight day.

Murray's Absence Created Issues for Raiders Offense

In his fourth season out of UCF, Murray is coming off a breakout campaign. He had 1,066 yards and six touchdowns in 2015, his first 1,000-yard season. He has 172 rushing yards, 63 receiving yards and three touchdowns through four games this year. Murray spoke about improving his game, per ESPN's Paul Gutierrez:

"

I think now it’s a matter of really learning the playbook inside and out, knowing it like the back of my hand so I can play a lot faster. Any time you’re out there thinking, you play slow or you’re not confident. So me knowing it now, going into my second year (as the starter), I think I can do a lot more. I feel a lot more confident.

"

The Raiders don't have much depth behind Murray, so they were hoping he wouldn't be out of action for long. Neither Jalen Richard nor rookie DeAndre Washington has experience as a primary NFL ball-carrier.
