WWE Survivor Series 2011: Full Results and the 167 Things We Learned
Another Survivor Series is in the books and we learned a lot tonight. Some matches were great while others were only so-so.
I would say that in the 25 times WWE has put on Survivor Series, this will not be ranked among the best or worst.
Dolph Ziggler retained his title in what was a great match against John Morrison, but was quickly eliminated during the elimination match by Orton.
Beth Phoenix defeated Eve in what was an above average Divas match.
Team Barrett beat team Orton with Barrett and Rhodes being the only Survivors.
Sin Cara ruptured a tendon during the match, so he may be out of action for a little while, which hopefully won't stop the push for Hunico, Epico and Primo.
Big Show did an amazing top rope elbow drop but fell short of winning the title after Henry gave him a low blow and got disqualified on purpose. Big Show reversed an attempt by Henry to break his leg and ended up putting Henry's leg in the chair and giving it a huge leg drop.
CM Punk defeated Alberto Del Rio in another fantastic match in their rivalry to win the WWE Championship. He even had his own personal ring announcer, Howard Finkel.
Finkel got choked up when the crowd started chanting his name prior to announcing Punk, it was a great moment to witness for the Hall-of-Famer.
The Rock and Cena beat Awesome Truth in a match I am still not sure if I liked or not. After the match the Rock wanted an applause battle with Cena but the audience kept booing Cena. After Cena tried to leave, The Rock gave him a Rock Bottom to end the PPV.
After this past Raw I wrote an article called "135 Things we Learned from Raw." The reaction from everyone was very positive so I decided to do it again for Survivor Series.
This list is part results, part commentary, part recap, part humor and part things we actually learned. Basically what I do is watch the show and just list every little thing that comes to mind, whether it is funny or just informative. The list stops when the show stops.
I hope you enjoy it and please feel free to comment and leave more things we learned below.
1. Tonight is John Laurinaitis' 10th anniversary with WWE.
2. He thinks we care.
3. The US title match is first.
4. The spanish announcing team is being featured, you know their table is getting broken before the night's over. (Update, it did not get broken somehow.)
5. Vickie's outfit is very bright but that's not why I am covering my eyes.
6. New York wants Ryder before the match even starts.
7. Ziggler plays a great heel.
8. Dolph is fist pumping in agreement, I think.
9. Booker T did not sign Ryder's petition.
10. A second "we want Ryder" chant broke out.
11. Now they are doing graphics mid-match for Twitter, this has to stop.
12. The crowd started booing Morrison and cheering Ziggler.
13. Dolph Ziggler has been watching Doug Williams in TNA.
14. Jerry Lawler apparently does too, he just mentioned the X-division title.
15. Vickie got booted from ringside.
16. The crowd likes that a lot.
17. Ziggler wins, Ziggler wins.
18. Ziggler's new catch phrase is "How damn good am I at this?"
19. The crowd still wants Ryder.
20. They get him.
21. New York loves Ryder, the whole building was chanting "woo, woo, woo" with Ryder.
22. I wouldn't be surprised if his run-in was unplanned and was due to all the Ryder chants during the match.
23. Ryder has the Statue of Liberty fist-pumping on his tights.
24. Apparently all the Divas don't mind coming out to only Kelly Kelly's music.
25. Rosa Mendes looks like Melina now that she dyed her hair black.
26. Eve has been training with Daniel Bryan judging by that submission she pulled out.
27. The top rope Glam Slam looked pretty cool.

41. The Rock looked up Madison Square Garden on Wikipedia.
42. Frank Sinatra is rolling over in his grave at this rendition of New York, New York.
43. It's surprising that most of the crowd know the words to New York, New York.
44. Well, at least Dolph's matches are not right in a row like last month, the elimination match is next.
45. Barrett has the jacket he wore on NXT again.
46. Apparently Vickie does not have time to come to the ring with Swagger with all the celebrating with Ziggler.
47. I like Booker T's new catchphrase for Jack Swagger, "It's Swag Time."
48. A Latin wrestler plus short sleeve button down shirt and bandana equals gangster style wrestler.
49. Rhodes' new tights match his title.
50. Sin Cara has some new white ring gear as well.
51. Booker T thinks Sin Cara has the best entrance since himself.
52. Kofi and Sin Cara kind of match tonight.
53. The crowd goes nuts for Orton in New York.
54. Cole fact, Randy Orton has won more elimination matches than anyone else at Survivor Series, I am not sure if that fact is true.
55. Why are the Latinos the only ones who think to wear pants?
56. Cody Rhodes tries to emulate Dr. Doom, but his ring gear looks like the Fantastic Four's new outfits.
57. Booker T is the second person to bring up Ali vs. Frasier from the Garden.
58. Orton just came in and eliminated Ziggler with a quick RKO, effectively burying ZIggler after he had what will probably be the best match all night against Morrison.
59. Sin Cara may have hurt his leg, legitimately.
60. It looks like he didn't let go of the top rope when he was supposed to and his knee slammed into the apron after his head got hooked under the bottom rope, couldn't tell if it was his fault or Hunico's.
61. The crowd thinks Ryder should replace Sin Cara.
61. Sin Cara is eliminated because he cannot compete.
62. This could kill his push.
63. The teams are even again.
64. The crowd kind of booed Mason Ryan when Orton tagged him in.
65. Sin Cara's injury kind of killed the mood of the match, the crowd is pretty dead.
66. I just realized that the majority of the guys in this match are not from the US; Sheamus is Irish, Barrett is English, Sin Cara and Hunico are Mexican, Mason Ryan is Welsh and Kofi is African.
67. Rhodes eliminated Mason Ryan in a great setup with Hunico.
68. The crowd is chanting Rhodes' name, very pro-heel crowd tonight, I think Beth was getting cheered too.
69. Orton looks almost Hispanic standing next to Sheamus.
70. According to Lawler, it takes Sheamus a week of sun bathing just to turn white.

78. Cole tells us Sin Cara has a ruptured tendon, not sure how long he will be out of action for.
79. The Bellas are still trying to hit on Del Rio at the same time for some reason.
80. Michael Cole does not know when WWE will cut to a commercial during a PPV judging from him beginning to talk and getting cut off.
81. This Flo Rida song is not a good pick for a PPV theme, feels like I should be in a club not a fight.
82. WWE is putting in more ring support for the Mark Henry vs. Big Show match so the ring doesn't collapse again.
83. Big Show has his hands wrapped like Van Damme in Kickboxer.
84. Big show is ready to wrestle, he pulled out an arm drag and a full body takedown on Henry.
85. Between Henry, Jackson and Cena, slamming Big Show does not seem like a huge accomplishment anymore.
86. An "Undertaker" chant broke out for some reason.
87. Instead of the ring, this time they broke the barricade.
88. A "Holy %&$#" chant broke out and WWE did not censor it, interesting.

103. Finkel saying the word "Chicago" gets a boo from the New York crowd.
104. CM Punk makes fun of Finkel a little bit for taking so long on the announcing.
105. A CM Punk chant breaks out during his entrance, you don't see that too often where you can actually hear it over the music.
106. The announcers thought that Punk ribbing Finkel was hilarious apparently.
107. Another Cole fact, the WWE title has changed hands in Madison Square Garden 15 times, more than any other arena in the world.
108. A "We want Ice Cream" chant breaks out for CM Punk.
109. Why don't they make a shirt for him with an ice cream bar on it since the manufacturer of the ice cream bars is not on board.
110. NO MORE TWITTER GRAPHICS, DAMMIT!
111. Del Rio and Sin Cara have the same ring gear designer, judging by their matching color scheme.

125. This should have ended the show, I don't care how the Rock/Cena match goes.

127. A new Stone Cold DVD is being released, looks like it will have a documentary.
128. Michael Cole is going to sue King and Booker for touching his hurt elbow.
129. Six matches feels too little for a PPV, two hour Raw have more matches sometimes.
130. The video they show for the Rock reminds us of how bad his hair really was early in his career.
131. This Flo Rida song makes for a terrible video package in my opinion.
132. Miz looks kind of stupid rapping with Truth during their entrance.
133. If you don't like it, Truth will fix yo face.
134. Miz and Truth have the worst secret hand shake ever, it was like 1960s batman cheesy.
135. Cena is getting booed in New York tonight.
136. The Rock gets the grand entrance at the end because he is WWE's hardest worker right?
137. Cena salutes his enemies before going to battle.
138. The crowd absolutely errupts for The Rock in New York.
139. I am just noticing The Rock has some grey hair in his goatee.
140. I have to admit it is pretty cool seeing The Rock in action again after all these years, but I would feel the same if it were Austin or HBK at this point.
141. Cena likes old ladies, but in reality it was the widow or Arnold Skaaland, a legend in the business, so it was a classy move by Cena.
142. The Rock still has it in the ring.
143. Actually, he may be better in a technical way.
144. New York thinks The Rock still has it too.

163. He thought it was funny.
164. This is not doing anything to break the stereotype of New Yorkers being jerks.
165. Cena will try to walk away and The Rock will hit him with a Rock Bottom anyways.
166. I could clearly see during a close up that the Rock called Cena a "p***y a** b***h."
167. This was a strange ending to a PPV which was heavily built up.
There you have it folks, please feel free to share your thoughts on Survivor Series.
