WWE WrestleMania XXVIII Needs One More Star to Wrestle

The Rock vs. John Cena is already set in stone. Nothing is going to change that from happening. Not only will it close the show, it will likely be the best match on the card.

Then you have The Undertaker facing an unknown opponent (Triple H?) to try and extend his WrestleMania undefeated streak to 20-0.

Add on rumors of Foley returning. Add on rumors of Jericho returning. It would seem you have a pretty stacked card that does not need much else to draw in a record live gate and over a million PPV buys.

Well, I think the current landscape of WWE is missing something. It is missing one thing that WrestleMania XXVII featured. It is missing one thing that helped this year's WrestleMania event top one million PPV buys.

That one thing?

Snooki!

Yes, that Snooki, and yes, I am dead serious. I have already touched on this topic a little bit, but it needs repeating. Snooki will be going into the WWE Hall of Fame one day. Why not make it in Miami next spring?

Also, why not return for the typical "celebrity" match WWE is known for? She did a great job at WrestleMania XXVII, and she was one of the stars of the show.

In a match with seven main players (Snooki, Trish, Layla, Michelle, Dolph, Vickie at ringside and John Morrison), she stood out the most. She was the main attraction of the match.

I also have no doubt she added to the buyrate. What was the buyrate again?

WrestleMania XXVII was the second-most purchased wrestling show of all-time! Yes, of all-time! Only defeating this year's event was WrestleMania 23 back in 2007.

Many will credit The Rock, Cena or even The Miz. Some may even credit Undertaker and Triple H. A long shot could go to Stone Cold, Cole and Lawler. I agree with all of those names. They all added up to making a great event.

Sadly, little to no credit has been given to Jersey Shore star Snooki! I do not even need to tell you folks how popular the show is right now. Getting over seven million viewers a week is nothing to laugh at and in 2011, that is just too big to ignore.

Here is the real kicker: I am not from Jersey. I live in Wisconsin. Also, I do not even keep up with the show! I just understand that a celebrity this huge right now could help WWE in so many more ways than most realize.

You could argue that The Rock wrestling is a "celebrity" match, but I don't. Rock is already returning to the ring next month, and he is already signed up for plenty of other shows for WWE.

While most fans would enjoy seeing Shaq wrestle or even Hugh Jackman return to WWE for WrestleMania, nobody gets the amount of TV exposure as Snooki right now. Add in a WWE Hall of Fame spot for Snooki, a nice match in the mid-card and it works just fine to me.

It worked for WrestleMania XXVII, so why not for WrestleMania XXVIII?
