Randy Moss Retirement: Why the Arizona Cardinals Should Pursue Him
After getting Kevin Kolb from the Philadelphia Eagles, the Arizona Cardinals have also signed TE Todd Heap, and guard Deuce Lutui to boost the offense.
They still have a deep threat in WR Larry Fitzgerald, but have now lost WR Steve Breaston to free agency (Kansas City) after trading Anquan Boldin to Baltimore last year.
The addition of Randy Moss would totally open up their offense in giving them another deep threat, while making Fitzgerald more versatile and dangerous.

Giants Rumored Draft Targets
For one, Larry already possesses the ability to run the short, medium, and long routes, but without another threatening WR he'll be locked down on a more consistent basis.
Moss would provide as an additional deep threat, while also being able to run the medium routes on occasion.
With Moss, Fitzgerald would become even that much more open on almost any route.
And if he's covered, there's Moss anywhere on the field, as well as TE Todd Heap.
The addition of Moss would also strengthen the Cardinals run game as they'll most likely become a pass-first team.
However, with three receiving threats (Heap also blocks very well), RBs Beanie Wells and Tim Hightower will have much more success than expected.
Draws and screens become more effective, as does play-action, and even if they were to be in a Hail Mary situation, you can't lose a jump ball with Moss and Fitz leaping over every defensive back.
Another reason why Arizona should pursue Randy, is because it will play into the strength of their defense.
The Cards' will be able to put up points on almost anyone at anytime, therefore forcing opponents to throw just to keep up.
Enter Patrick Peterson, along with Adrian Wilson and Kerry Rhodes.
Having these three shutting down virtually every passing offense allows for the defensive line, highlighted by Darnell Dockett, to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
In the NFL's weakest division, making an attempt toward Randy Moss should, at the very least, be considered.
Seattle released Matt Hasselbeck, San Francisco re-signed Alex Smith (fail), therefore leaving the Rams as the only legitimate threat (by process of elimination).
Arizona's schedule is rather favorable. Even without Moss, Arizona could get anywhere from six to eight wins, which would be an improvement from 2010.
But with Moss? That win total could realistically bump up to a minimum of 10.
Football may be a team sport at it's core, but adding a player like Moss will do wonders for The Grand Canyon State.
Head coach Ken Whisenhunt is putting the pieces together for a bright future, and getting Moss to un-retire keeps the window open just that much longer.
And finally, Cardinals fans deserve Mr. Moss, because their football team has arguably had the least amount of success since the NFL began back in 1920.
