At UFC 131, Shane Carwin showed a ton of heart in his fight with Junior dos Santos.

Carwin fought his way through a rough first round, much like his opponent at UFC 116, Brock Lesnar

Although Carwin did not pick up the win, he showed why he is one of the toughest MMA fighters today.

Despite being 36, Carwin still has some fight left in him. Here are three fights he should take to send him back in the right direction.

The Winner of Pat Berry vs. Cheick Kongo

Pat Berry and Cheick Kongo are dangerous strikers that love to stand and exchange with guys.

Berry is known for his hard leg strikes. Kongo also has great kickboxing skills.

Carwin taking a bout with one of these two will give him the type of fight he loves, a stand up war.

Travis Browne

Travis Browne is undefeated in his MMA career.

Browne is another fight who is known for his willingness to stand and bang with guys. He is recently coming off of a big KO of Stefan Struve.

Carwin would be a good test for Browne and Browne would be a test to show Carwin can hang with the younger guys of the sport.

Roy Nelson

Carwin and Nelson were suppose to meet earlier this year but injury forced Carwin out of the fight.

Both Carwin and Nelson have lost two straight and both have went a full three rounds with Junior dos Santos.

Both of these big heavyweights are in need of a win, and both have fighting styles made for each other.
