Without any further ado, let's get this League started.
ANYONE CAN JOIN THE LEAGUE AT ANY TIME! If you miss this pay-per-view or someone couldn't make it, that's OK, you can join in on the next one.
Each PPV will be worth up to 30 points. No match will be worth more than five points. There will not be bonus questions worth points this year.
I would like you if you can to give a reason for why you are picking who you are picking to win, this way we can create more debate and conversation for the league. And if there is debate, please be respectful to your fellow league competitors, or you will be removed from the league.
The Underdog Award will be in effect this week and worth three additional points to the person/persons who predict the least predicted match.
The results of each Prediction League will be posted by Wednesday of each following week, so get on me to get them out this year, ha ha.
Match 1 - TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting vs/ Mr. Anderson - 4 points
- On the Impact after Sacrifice, Mr. Anderson came down dressed as the old Sting and attacked Sting with a bat and Sting's own finishing moves.
The next show Anderson mocked Sting, being dressed as old Sting again in the first ever Scorpion Sitdown, where his guest DISCO INFERNO gets beaten down and the real Sting comes out to make the save only to have Anderson bail.
The next week Anderson again dressed as old Sting challenges the Great Muta, I mean Eric Young to a match. Young wins and gets attacked by Gunner, real Sting makes the save and Anderson bails.
This last week Anderson and Gunner vs Sting and Young ended with Sting losing to Gunner!
Sting flips out on Young as Anderson and Gunner gloat. On Reaction, Sting searches for Anderson and catches him and pours paint all over his face and chokes him out to end the show.
Match 2 - (The Final Battle, if Jarrett wins he get's Kurt's gold medal) Kurt Angle vs Jeff Jarrett - 4 points
- This has been building forever. Kurt beat Jeff at Sacrifice. The next Impact, Jeff came out to meet Kurt and challenged him to a match for his gold medal, as well as the No. 1 Contender. The next Impact, Jarrett beat Morgan then came out for Kurt's match where he beat RVD gloating he can beat anyone.
The next Impact Karen Jarrett went tumbling down the stairs after Kurt pushed her, no wait Jeff pushed Kurt into her, oh hell no one cares...leaving the two fighting with words about it as Karen is carted away.
The last Impact before Slammiversary, Kurt and Jeff talk about how Karen is gone and won't be at Slammiversary.
Also Jeff played the card that Kurt is only in TNA because of Jarrett. And continued to sing his praise, then turned it all around on him, calling him self serving and an ego maniac. So Jeff took everything away from Kurt since Kurt tried to erase Jarrett (Damn, this is way too personal).
Jarrett claims he is better than Kurt. Their segment ends with Kurt walking away, saying he is going to let his wrestling do the talking.
Match 3 - X-Division Champion Abyss vs Kazarian vs Brian Kendrick - Winner - 2 points, Loser - 1 point, Both - 4 points
- To further Eric Bischoff's dismantling of the X-Division, Abyss defeated Kazarian for the Title on Impact. Despite their best efforts, Abyss retained the Title the next week even after Kazarian had ambushed Abyss before the match.
The next night, Kazarian and Kendrick fought an incredible match to be No. 1 contender. Abyss interrupted and destroyed both men. Both men were announced as the opponents for Abyss X-Division Title.
Match 4 - TNA World Tag Team Champions Gun Money (The Combination of Beer Money's James Storm and Motor City Machineguns' Alex Shelley) vs The British Invasion (Douglas Williams and Brutus Magnus) - 3 points
- Immortal injures Robert Roode on the Impact after Sacrifice. The next week Bischoff tells Beer Money they might be stripped on their titles. The next week Alex Shelley comes out and announces that Chris Sabin is out for a year and that if Storm wants a partner Shelley is up to be it.
He accepts and it is announced Gun Money vs The British Invasion. Gun Money faced Mex America w/British Invasion on commentary the last Impact. The put over their wins over Beer Money and MCMG. Shelley costs Gun Money the match, arguing to end their segment.
Match 5 - (Last Man Standing) AJ Styles vs Bully Ray - 5 points
- AJ lost to Dreamer at Sacrifice "injuring" his neck due to interference from Bully Ray. AJ talks about that match, Dreamer and Bully Ray take the upper hand on him and they piledrive AJ again, even though Christopher Daniels tried to make the save.
The next week Daniels and AJ beat Dreamer and Ray with a Spike Pile Driver in a Street Fight. The week after that AJ and Ray have a war of words building the feud.
The last Impact before the PPV, Bully Ray fought RVD with AJ in the crowd. AJ distracts Ray enough for RVD to get the win. After the show, AJ and Ray fight about who is in whose head.
Match 6 - Knockouts Champion Mickie James vs Angelina Love - 3 points
- On the May 26 Impact, Mickie fought Winter and won, but Angelina beat Mickie down and threw her into the steel steps.
The next Impact Love beats up Ms. Tessmacher for Winter because Mickie busted Winter's lip the previous week. Love was a monster in the match. Love beat James going into the the PPV.
Match 7 - Crimson vs Samoa Joe - 4 points
- Joe beat Amazing Red, Crimsons "brother" and Crimson made the save when Joe continued the attack. The next week nothing transpired.
The week after that, Crimson beat Matt Hardy, and Joe tried to attack. Crimson over powered him. The week leading into the PPV Joe attacked Crimson at a Bar and gets the upper hand.
Match 8 - Matt Morgan vs Scott Steiner - 3 points
- Steiner cost Morgan his match against Jarrett. The next week, Morgan gets pinned by Steiner. The week after that, no build into the PPV.
