Week Eight was highlighted by Texas backing up its No. 1 ranking by putting up 51 points en route to a win over Missouri. Alabama and Penn State each won to remain undefeated and on the Longhorns' heals.

Ohio State won easily at Michigan State, preparing a monster game next week against Penn State.

One BCS buster bit the dust, as TCU crushed BYU. There are still several non-BCS teams in the hunt, though. Utah and Boise State have the inside track to crashing the party.

After yet another exciting week in college football, the top 50 teams have shuffled positions again. Here are the top programs after eight weeks of football. There are some changes from last week. The first BCS poll was released and will be included in this series for the remainder of the season.
