TNA: If They Created a Hall of Fame, Who Would Be in It?

0 of 17

There was a rumor not too long ago that TNA considered creating a Hall of Fame. I don't know if TNA made a decision whether or not to make a Hall of Fame but the question is, who'd be in it?

TNA is still a young company. Slammiversary will mark its ninth birthday. They've been around for just under a decade and tons of wrestlers have come and gone from the company.

If TNA were to make a Hall of Fame it would be a cool idea. To make it even better they should consider creating a physical Hall of Fame in either Orlando, Florida or Nashville Tennessee that fans can visit.

Anyways, if TNA made a Hall of Fame who'd be in it? Here are my inductees for a TNA Hall of Fame someday.

AJ Styles

1 of 17

    Achievements:

NWA World Heavyweight Champion (3 times)

NWA World Tag Team Champion ( 4 times)

    TNA Legends/Global/Television Champion (2 times)

TNA World Heavyweight Champion (1 time)

TNA World Tag Team Champion (1 time)

TNA X Division Champion (6 time)

First TNA Triple Crown Champion (4 times)

First TNA Grand Slam Champion (2 times)

    Mr. TNA (2003 - 2005)

TNA Match of the Year (2006)

TNA Match of the Year (2009)

TNA Tag Team of the Year (2006)

It would be almost impossible for AJ Styles not to get inducted into a TNA Hall of Fame.

Just look at his list of accomplishments. He is TNA's first and only Grand Slam Champion to date and is nicknamed Mr. TNA for a reason.

He's done it all in TNA and people want to see him do more. He is the longest reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion and tied with Jay Lethal for the most X Division title reigns.

AJ is a TNA original. He is Mr. TNA. He is the past, present and future of TNA.

Samoa Joe

2 of 17

    Accomplishments:

    18 Month Undefeated Streak

TNA World Heavyweight Champion (1 time)

TNA World Tag Team Champion (1 time)

TNA X Division Champion (4 time)

King of the Mountain (2008. Only person to successfully defend the title in this match type)

    Super X Cup (2005)

    Turkey Bowl (2007)

    Triple Crown Champion (1 time)

    Mr. TNA (2006)

    Mr. X Division (2006)

    Feud of the Year (2006)

Like AJ Styles, it'll be damn hard for "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe to not be inducted.

Upon debuting in TNA he went undefeated for over a year. 18 months to be exact. He is a Triple Crown Champion and the only guy to ever successfully defend the world title in a King of the Mountain match.

He is a great talent and has a long way to go before retirement. I'm hoping for another world title reign by Samoa Joe.

Kurt Angle

3 of 17

    Accomplishments:

TNA World Heavyweight Champion (4 time)

TNA World Tag Team Champion (1time)

TNA X Division Champion (1 time)

King of the Mountain (2007, 2009)

    Second Triple Crown Champion

TNA Feud of the Year (2006)

Only Olympic Gold Medalist in Professional Wrestling History

There is no doubt in my mind that Kurt Angle will be inducted with AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. Angle signing with TNA was a huge surprise and sent shock waves throughout the wrestling world.

Kurt Angle is a warrior and had great feuds in the past with Christian Cage, Samoa Joe, Jeff Jarrett, Mr. Anderson and others.

Not to mention that Kurt was also the leader of the most dominant stable in TNA history, the Main Event Mafia.

Jeff Jarrett

4 of 17

    Accomplishments:

NWA World Heavyweight Champion (6 times)

King of the Mountain (2004, 2006)

Co-Founder of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

When you are the co-founder of an organization it'll be hard not to get into the Hall of Fame of the company you started.

Double J is nicknamed "The King of the Mountain" and is one of the best heels in TNA. He reigned supreme over the TNA roster in the early days of the company. He is a six time NWA World Champion. Did I mention that he is the co-founder of TNA?

Jerry Jarrett

5 of 17

    Jerry Jarrett & Dixie Carter

    Accomplishments:

Co-Founder of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

Former Part Owner of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

This man, Jerry Jarrett (Jeff Jarrett's dad), is the other half that started TNA Wrestling.

It'll be hard for Jerry not to be inducted since, after all, he did start TNA Wrestling with help of son, Jeff.

America's Most Wanted

6 of 17

    Accomplishments:

NWA World Tag Team Champions (6 times)

Asylum Alliance Tag Team Tournament (2003)

These guys, "Wildcat" Chris Harris and "Cowboy" James Storm, are tag team wrestling pioneers in TNA. They put tag team wrestling on the map in TNA.

They are considered one of the greatest tag teams in the history of TNA.

They had classic feuds with teams like The Naturals, 3Live Krew, Triple X, Team Canada, Team 3D and The Disciples of the New Church.

Beer Money Inc.

7 of 17

    Accomplishments:

TNA World Tag Team Champions (4 times)

Team 3D Tag Team Invitational Tournament Winners (2009)

TNA Tag Team Championship Series (2010)

America's Most Wanted may have revolutionized tag team wrestling in TNA but Beer Money dominates it.

Beer Money is the longest reigning TNA World Tag Team Champions. Roode and Storm held the belts 4 times for over a combined 365 days.

Beer Money doesn't have as much rivals as AMW did but who can forget the Best of 5 series of matches between Beer Money and The Guns.

Gail Kim

8 of 17

    Accomplishments:

    TNA Knockouts Champion (1 time)

    Knockout of the Year (2007)

Gail Kim is one of the 'original' TNA Knockouts. Gail Kim was in TNA before the Knockouts division even existed.

Gail became the inaugural Knockouts Champion and had a great feud with Awesome Kong.

Gail is the original Knockout and the first ever women's champion TNA has seen.

Awesome Kong

9 of 17

    Accomplishments:

    TNA Knockouts Champion (2 time)

TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion (1 time)

No doubt Awesome Kong is the most dominant woman to ever set foot in a TNA ring. She decimated every challenge put in front of her.

She was the biggest, baddest and meanest Knockout on the roster. Her presence was known.

She will go down in history as the most dominant female in TNA Wrestling history you can bet on that.

Kazarian

10 of 17

    Accomplishments:

TNA World Tag Team Champion (1 time)

TNA X Division Champion (5 times)

Fight for the Right Tournament (2007)

X Division King of the Mountain (2008, 2009)

Kazarian pretty much done it all in the X Division and I believe he should be called up to at least the TV title scene.

Kazarian is a pioneer in the X Division. He has a record for the most Ultimate X victories with either 5 or 6.

Velvet Sky

11 of 17

    Accomplishments:

TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion (1 time)

Velvet Sky doesn't need title belts to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. She is easily one of the most popular Knockouts in TNA history. Heel or face, the crowd loves to see her.

She is TNA's version of Sunny (who was inducted into the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame). She is simply a pretty face that the crowd loves to see every night.

Velvet is "Miss TNA." She doesn't need any titles to prove it, just listen to the crowd during when they see her. She is one of the most over Knockouts on the roster today.

Angelina Love

12 of 17

    Accomplishments:

    TNA Knockouts Champion (5 time)

TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion (1 time)

Angelina Love is one of the best Knockouts in TNA history. Her name would go right besides Gail Kim and Awesome Kong's.

Angelina is a pretty face and good in the ring. She, like Velvet, is always welcomed by the crowd. They love seeing her.

Angelina holds holds the record for most reigns as TNA Knockouts Champion.

Sting

13 of 17

    Accomplishments:

TNA World Heavyweight Champion (3 times)

NWA World Heavyweight Champion (1 time)

TNA World Tag Team Champion (1 time)

TNA Match of the Year (2009)

Sting is an icon. He is the icon.

I think TNA will proudly induct Sting into their Hall of Fame one day because of his loyalty to their company. He could've chosen WWE over TNA but time and time again declines.

Sting is a popular face in TNA and a four time World Champion.

Abyss

14 of 17

    Accomplishments:

NWA World Heavyweight Champion (1 time)

NWA World Tag Team Champion (1 time)

    TNA Television Champion (1 time)

    Fight for the Right (2006)

Abyss is an animal. He's a monster. He is the most badass hardcore guy on the TNA roster.

Abyss should be an obvious pick for a Hall of Fame because of the pain he endured throughout his career. He put his body through hell. Glass, tacks, tables, fire, et cetera.

You can call him a ripoff of Mick Foley or Kane or The Undertaker but a guy as hardcore as "The Monster" Abyss is hard to come by.

Mike Tenay

15 of 17

    Accomplishments:

    Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards:

    Best Television Announcer (1997, 2002 - 2005)

     - He serves on the board for the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame

Love him or hate him, Mike Tenay is the 'voice' of TNA. He has been a commentator in TNA since its debut in 2002. He called every match on iMPACT!, pay-per-view and Xplosion.

This man is one hard worker. He conducts interviews with wrestlers sometimes and is called the 'voice of the fans' by Jeff Jarrett.

Tenay has been calling matches since 1994 and is nicknamed "The Professor" because of his vast knowledge of wrestling.

Daniels

16 of 17

    Accomplishments:

NWA World Tag Team Champion (6 times)

TNA X Division Champion (4 time)

    World X Cup (2004)

    Match of the Year (2006)

Tag Team of the Year (2006)

"The Fallen Angel" is some asset to TNA.

He, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe put on one of TNA's best matches at Unbreakable 2005.

The only thing missing on Daniels' resume' is the big belt, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Honorable Mention

17 of 17

    Christian Cage:

NWA World Heavyweight Champion (2 time)

    One of TNA's biggest signs

    Jerry Lynn:

NWA World Tag Team Champion (2 times)

TNA X Division Champion (2 time)

    World X Cup (2004)

One of the oldest performers in the X Division

    Chris Sabin:

TNA World Tag Team Champion (1 time)

TNA X Division Champion (4 time)

    Super X Cup (2003)

    World X Cup (2004)

    World X Cup (2006)

Most combined days as X Division Champion (4 reigns combined for 338 days)

    Jay Lethal:

TNA World Tag Team Champion (1 time)

TNA X Division Champion (6 time)

    World X Cup (2006)

X Division Wrestler of the Year (2007)
