The First Time Ever: Moments That Happened at WrestleMania
In the past, WrestleMania has showed the fans many great moments in professional wrestling. Whether it be Shawn Michaels vs. Bret "The Hitman" Hart, or "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. The Rock, the fans were never disappointed.
Here is a list of those moments that only happened at WrestleMania or happened at WrestleMania for the very first time.
First Ever Match: Tito Santana vs. the Executioner
The first ever WrestleMania match was contested between Tito Santana and The Executioner at WrestleMania I in 1985.
The match was the first of an ongoing legacy in Wrestling history as it helped WrestleMania become the staple that it is today. It is watched by more people around the world than the coveted NFL Super Bowl.
Being such a grand spectacle, both men tried to put on a wrestling master class, however, due to their short time slot the match was easily forgettable. However, it still stands in history as the opening to something special.
Tito Santana would eventually go on to become a Intercontinental, Tag and King of the Ring Champion and in 2004, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Blood Brothers: The First Time Kane and Taker Squared off
At WrestleMania XIV, we witnessed he first-ever match between the Undertaker and Kane.
Kane debuted at Bad Blood in 1997 during the month of October, it took both men more than five months to eventually build up enough heat and character to go toe-to-toe with one another.
The match was a grand spectacle, as it marked not only the first time both men will face each other, but it also marked another man to the Undertaker’s illustrious WrestleMania streak.
The two would go onto to have some memorable feuds and matches as the years passed by with the most recent been towards the end of last year where World Champion Kane defeated his brother three times in a row.
The two also faced each other at WrestleMania XX with The Undertaker easily disposing of younger brother in quick and timely fashion.
More Money, More Problems: The First Ever MITB Ladder Match
The first-ever Money in the Bank match was contested at WrestleMania XXI where Edge became the first champion of this particular tournament.
The idea was Kayfabe designed by Chris Jericho who rallied six men and a ladder with the winner receiving a contract, which will see them have a title shot where and whenever they choose to do so for up to one year.
The match itself has become a great hit with fans and WWE superstars, it even became its own PPV in 2010 with The Miz and Kane winning their respective brands' Match.

Rock vs. Hogan
Old vs. Young, New vs. Old. Call it whatever you want, but, at the end of the day, what you are left with is Icon vs. Icon.
The Rock and Hogan stole the show at WrestleMania XVIII, as the two behemoths of the sport of professional wrestling tore the roof down in Toronto.
It was a great moment for any fan, as it showed the two different superstars of their respective generations go at it for the very first time. It was a match many dreamed they would see, especially during the Monday Night War days.
Like Andre vs. Hogan at WrestleMania III, this moment captured the imagination of everyone, and really helped make that WrestleMania one of the greatest spectacles ever.
Austin and The Rock have faced each other at three different WrestleManias with The Rock winning one and Austin winning two.
Each match has been considered the best match ever of that respective WrestleMania, with both men putting on a wrestling showcase.
First Time One PPV Takes Place in 3 Different Arenas: Wrestlemania II
WrestleMania II was the first-ever PPV that was held in three different Venues at the same time. It was held at the Nassau Coliseum (New York), Rosemont Horizon (Illinois) and the L.A. Sports Arena (California).
The combined attendance for this event was over 40,000, people which at the time was pretty great.
The main event of this PPV was Hogan vs. King Kong Bundy for the WWE Championship.
Wrestlemania VIII: First Time the Winner of a Rumble Rumble Headlined 'Mania
The 1992 Royal Rumble marked the first-ever time the winner of the match would go onto headline WrestleMania for the WWE title.
The winner, Ric Flair, would have to defend his title at WrestleMania VIII; he lost, being pinned by Macho Man Randy Savage.
The Streak Begins: Wrestlemania VII Undertaker's First Match at 'Mania
The Undertaker has appeared in 18 of the 26 WrestleManias. He has amazed us, thrilled us and left a legacy that will never be touched, even if someone were to beat the streak, Taker will always be the one who accomplished this feat first, especially during times where Hogan, Rock, Austin, Hart and HBK were running wild.

Wrestlemania XX: The First Time the Title Would Be Contested in a Triple Threat.
WrestleMania XX saw the first ever at a WrestleMania Main Event where the World Championship would be defended in a Triple threat match. The Match involved the 2004 Royal Rumble Winner Chris Benoit, HHH and Shawn Michaels, the winner of the match was Benoit.
This match has received praised by many a fan as it received the greatest match of 2004 by PWI, Dave Meltzer gave the match 3.5 out 4 stars.
Wrestlemania X: Yokozuna Defends His WWE Title Twice on the Same Night
Although WrestleMania IX saw the WWE title being defended two times on the same night by different men. WrestleMania X marked the first ever time where the Champion would defend his gold on two occasions.
Yokozuna defended his gold against both the 1994 Royal Rumble Winners Lex Luger and Bret Hart. Yokozuna defeated Lex Luger in the first match, however, he fell short against his arch foe Bret Hart in the main event resulting in The Hitman becoming the WWE Champion yet again.
It is also worth noting that Bret Hart was also involved in a match earlier in the night against his younger brother and winner of the match Owen Hart.
Wetlemania III: Andre the Giant's First Loss in 15 Years
WrestleMania III saw Andre The Giant finally lose his 15-year undefeated Streak to The American Icon Hulk Hogan after Hogan slammed then Leg Dropped his way to victory.
