The College Football season started out the just the way we expected it: A few upsets, some blow-outs, and USC coming out at No. 1 in the AP poll again.
Now we move on to Week Two, and surprisingly this week is going to be even easier for most teams. From the looks of it, there aren't many great match-ups this week but here are the games I'm looking forward to.
Thursday, Sept. 4
(24) South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt, 8:30 p.m. ET
The Gamecocks managed to squeak by NC State at home last week when their quarterback threw four interceptions. I wonder how they are going to do on the road at Vanderbilt.
Saturday, Sept. 6
Miami (OH) vs. Michigan, 12 noon ET
The Wolverines' offense looked pitiful in their opening loss to Utah, and neither Steven Threet or Nick Sheridan proved themselves as quarterback. Can their defense lead the way in getting ready for their trip to South Bend the week after?
Oregon State vs. (19) Penn State, 3:30 p.m. ET
Are the Nittany Lions for real? That question should be answered when Oregon State rolls in to Happy Valley to challenge Penn State. The 66 points from Penn State was impressive, but wasn't that expected? Now we'll get to see if they are legit.
(8) West Virginia vs. East Carolina, 3:30 p.m. ET
East Carolina knocked of (17) Virginia Tech last week but wasn't that upset picked by nearly everyone? West Virginia's Pat White looked impressive when he threw for a career-high five touchdowns last week. What can we expect out of this Heisman contender this week, some rushing touchdowns to go along with those five through the air, or will East Carolina be able to shut down him and running back Noel Devine.
Minnesota vs. Bowling Green, 7:30 p.m. ET
The Golden Gophers are going through a rebuilding process after going 1-11 last year. Bowling Green upset Pittsburgh last week. Sounds like a good match-up and time for a MAC team to get the best of the Big Ten. I know this is an odd choice but there aren't more equal games.
Not many great games this week, but these ones should be pretty interesting to watch.

Florida v. Miami should be more interesting than the yawner between Bowling Green and Minnesota. At least there will be some athletic players on the field at the Swamp.

I don't think so. It will be just like the Hawaii Florida game. In a couple of years that would be a good match-up but not now

Its going to be a pretty even game and a chance for a little conference team to beat a Big Ten team so I will watch it because its a good match-up.

Actually I think Gameday is going to be at Oregon State @ Penn State. those two games won't be interesting because they are both going to be blow-outs.

No, gameday is definitely going to be in Gainesville, FL for the Miami at UF game. I am pretty sure this is all but confirmed. ESPN is airing the UF v. UM game in primetime and I've read in the local paper that Gameday is going to be here.
Even a UF blowout will be more interesting to watch than paint drying (i.e. Minnesota v. Bowling Green).

well last week when I chose the Hawaii vs. Florida game everybody criticized me because it was going to be a blow-out. Then this week when I don't choose the blow-out games I get criticized for it. Doesn't make sense to me.
