WWE Hell in a Cell: With John Cena In Tow, The Question Is, Who's Next(us)?

Thomas GaliciaOct 3, 2010

I predicted it, and a lot of you couldn't believe it.

Some of you thought I was just pulling this out of my posterior, no way would the WWE allow their current "Golden Boy" to join a heel stable, especially one that started out so promising but then got flat.

No way were they going to forsake the millions made on John Cena merchandise, the wristbands, the hats, t-shirts, or even that stupid spinning championship belt (that neither spins nor is used by Cena any more).

But it happened, despite the best efforts of MVP, Big Show, Kofi Kingston, and other WWE Superstars.

Despite what it could mean for the brand in the future, despite the stipulation put in by Triple-, I mean the anonymous General Manager, it happened, thanks in part to two mystery men and a foreign object.

No matter the whats, the why's, or the how's, it happened, John Cena joined Nexus.

But as what? For how long? And considering there were two mystery partners, who else is he joining?

Let's start with the what did Cena join Nexus as.

I predicted that it would turn out that he will be the mastermind behind Nexus the whole time, but then kind of backtracked it and said that it would be Triple-H as the mastermind, with Cena being an uncooperative member.

Now I'm looking more to it being the latter, with a once fresh and reinvigorating storyline being used to set up a match that's the opposite of that.

Triple-H vs. John Cena at Wrestlemania. Yell if you're excited about this.

But back to the scene of the crime and the questions I pose. I already somewhat answered the as what and the how long. Now here's the question, who else is joining? Who's Next, or more appropriately, who's Nexus?

I predicted R-Truth (conspicuously absent among the WWE "Superstars" that interfered despite telling Cena that he "had his back" last Monday) and Daniel Bryan (fought in the first match of the night) as the two that would join.

Yet both were among the WWE Superstars who tried to kick the rest of Nexus out during the match. Red Herring?

Who were those two guys that attacked Cena?

They didn't get any face time on camera, so finding them out was pretty tough. I couldn't tell you what they looked like, save for the guy who attacked Cena, who looked like a shorter blond Balls Mahoney (obviously it wasn't him but for that fleeting second he was on screen that was the resemblance I saw.)

But will Nexus get new members? Were the guys that interfered in the match possibly the WWE's interpretation of the IWC?

What's going to happen after all of this?

I as of right now, have no idea, but I am sure to enjoy the ride, as should you.

The WWE is going into a new, bold direction, and this was a start.

Lets see if it will continue.
