WWE Hell in a Cell: Shocking Spoilers To Usher in TV-PG Attitude Era?

Thomas GaliciaSep 30, 2010

The Attitude Era is beloved by many and to them is considered the greatest era in WWE History.

The PG Era is the antithesis to this, and is generally seen as squeaky clean.

However, with both of its main shows being on cable now, it appears that the WWE is looking to somehow merge the two eras and show that there can be a compromise.

The Antihero is back, and his name is Randy Orton, the WWE Champion. But for how long?

The introduction of Cody Rhodes' Ravishing, sorry, Dashing rip-off of Rick Rude, sans abs (I'll admit, he's at least making a character that seems to be done in every era his own, but no matter how hard he tries the Rick-Rude/Rick Martel-type role, it doesn't compare.).

Then you have the will-he-or-won't-he drama of Chris Jericho, who's slowly seeming to turn face.

It looks the same way with Edge, who had a decent quick face period and would've been Smackdown's top face had Raw not drafted him. It will be interesting to see if he goes down to Smackdown tomorrow night.

The Miz and Daniel Bryan with John Morrison involved does scare me a bit, mainly because I don't want to see Bryan booked to lose the title so quickly and Morrison would be the guy to win if it happens.

Even though I predicted that it would happen last time, I'm pretty sure I could see The Miz trying to cash in Money In The Bank after the Sheamus-Orton Hell in a Cell—keyword  there is trying. A great idea would be if Morrison stole it from The Miz and cashed it in illegally, thus setting up a Miz-Morrison feud—but for the WWE Championship.

I like seeing Kane vs. Undertaker, and I hope Paul Bearer turns heel at some point while he's still with the company. Paul Bearer's addition tells me that this is going to Wrestlemania.

But here's something out of left field that I'd love to see it happen, and because of that, I'll do my best Steven A. Smith impersonation when he was announcing that he knew through "sources" that LeBron, Wade, and Bosh would team up on the Heat a good 10 days before it happened. Hopefully, if it gains enough traction as a rumor, it will make the WWE think, although I doubt that since Vince McMahon hardly ever thinks outside the box and doesn't pay attention to the media.

A very trusted and close source has informed me that, this Sunday, Wade Barrett is going to defeat John Cena at Hell In A Cell, and that John Cena is to join the Nexus.

However, the role itself will not be as a hostage, it will be shown that John Cena was behind the Nexus the whole time, that he earned respect for them after they beat him down, and decided to use them to terrorize the WWE.

Then joining him in the ring is the United States Champion Daniel Bryan and R-Truth. They will be turning heel along with Cena and joining the Nexus.

I don't know how much further the storyline will go, but this is going to be the plan at the end of the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view. The people joining Cena is still up in the air, but assuming a last-minute change of heart by Vince McMahon doesn't happen, John Cena will be turning heel this Sunday night.

I'm not only hoping this winds up true and happens, I'm demanding it WWE!
