Tony Romo Versus Eli Manning: Big Dogs Of The NFC East

Eli Manning- Three words to describe how I feel about Eli Manning: two minute drill. The man who dwells in the shadow of his older brother, has finally proven hiself worthy of being drafted. The two minute drill he orchestrated in Super Bowl XLII was flawless, to say the least. It provided everything: excitement, controversy, amazing acrobatics, but more importantly- a win. Manning showed the world why he deserved to be quarterback of the New York football Giants, and he did it in the best way possible. I liked the way he brought the team together so much, the Super Bowl is now on my iPod. I watch that game winning touchdown to Plaxico Burress over and over again. He isn't exactly a fantasy stud during the regular season, but he comes to perform a lot better in the postseason. I think that Manning is the better quarterback of the two.

Tony Romo- Again, three words to describe how I feel about Tony Romo: don't bring Jessica. Don't bring any girl, for that matter. I know, this is about performance, not the Romo's lady curse, but it does show what he thinks about. Romo seems, to me anyway, to be more interested in women and social perks rather than football. Sure, he's a gunslinger fantasy stud during the regular season. Sure, he's got T.O. Sure, he's got Jessica Simpson. But when it's all said and done, Tony Romo can't seem to do anything in the playoffs. I am a firm believer that regular season performances mean nothing without a ring to show for it. That what Tony Romo brings to the table. He is a fantasy dream quarterback during the regular season, and a total bust during the playoffs. If you had Romo and Eli on the same team, start Romo during the regular season, and put in Manning as the playoff man. You'd be unbeatable! But sadly, this is not the case. Romo just isn't a playoff quarterback. I think if you're looking for a quarterback to win your fantasy league, go ahead and pick this guy. But if your someone who wants a ring, and wants it now, you might consider Manning.
