After watching what you watched on Sunday against the Titans, ask yourself this. Did you give Jamarcus a fair shake? Are you now going to start blaming Jason Campbell for not seeing the field or having the ability to feel pressure etc. Should Jason Campbell be able to get rid of the ball in minus 2 seconds too?
How about Marc Sanchez tonight and his 76 yards passing. Is this what you call a good prospect? How about Matt Casell 68 yard pass game tonight?
Are you out of all of your fat and lazy jokes? By not knowing football, did you run our Franchise QB out of town by siding with the masses?
Those of us who know football, knew damn well and good our problem was - and still is with our Offensive Line. If Tom Brady was our QB last year, he would have been knocked out for the season by week #4. Jamarcus absorbed the hits and your ##*$$ abuse and kept on coming like a man. Grad tore both knees and Frye stil cant remember his name.
Now we are in danger of losing Jason Campbell very early. I am not kidding. Our Oline is going to get him killed.
Why the hell do you think we we had 6 and 7 Offensive Linemen in the game at one time? Have you ever seen this in the NFL?
Why in week 4 of pre-season do we take a future star Left Tackle, put him at Center and then decide on the fly that he will be the starter overnight? The Center is the most important caller on the Line correct? We give it this responsibility to a rookie week 4 of preseason? I love Vandeheer and Bruce Campbell. They should both start at bookends now. Walker should be a guard. Sit Mario Henderson. He has no confidence and his feet appear slow right now. I am biased against Mario because he was a key player who visibly gave up when Jamarcus came in a game last year. That is not the kind of player who should be on the line. The reason why Vandeer can play center is because he is the real deal and can play any position on the line. Bruce Campbell is damn good too and should start right now.
I must say one thing to be fair. Mario was screwed over by the refs at least 2-3 times until the refs finally called offsides. The DE on his side was illegally jumping the snap count every play and either offsides or in the neutral zone before the snap. This happened twice until the DE took Jason Campbell's head off and he fumbled as a result. No offsides was called and no personal foul for the head shot. Thanks a lot refs. You know what you did or should I say, didn't do. Only after that play and after our Offense was totally rattled and out of sync did the refs call offsides on that DE lined up over our Left Tackle. Don't believe me? Now those who don't know football will think I am crazy and a liar.Look at the tape then you can call me a liar. This goes back to coaching. Now obviously our rookie center was tipping the DE off and he was able to time the snap count. I bet you $$$ that Fischer and his coaching staff found the rookie tendency from our 4th re-season game in which Vandeheer started most of the way.
A good coaching staff would have seen this on the first offsides then made sure that we at least changed the snap count and also let the rookie know.
In closing, yes we will get better. There is no way we could be worse. It will take some time for the Oline to be in sync. They never played together. The young receivers are ready, they just need a chance for the ball to be thrown their way. BTW, we cannot send our receivers on long plays every play. The opposing DB's are playing 10 yards off the line. Throw short to pull them in. We must establish a rythym, allow our receiving core to get some short balls to setup the long ball. The long ball will be there. Jason Campbell, you need to pump fake and pull the CB in before we can run a stop and go. Higgins was wide open when you threw the pick to Zack Miller. All you had to do was fake pump once to Zach and Higgins was all alone for six.
Two major issues must be addressed this week..
1) Shake up the OLINE now its the worse I have ever seen. Teach the rookie not to give away the count and Make Jason C. change the count often.
2) Sit Huff and play Mike Mitchell. Mitchell is not afraid to sacrifice. He is always ALWAYS, in correct position. If you know football you can see this as light of day.
Lets Go Raiders. Get the ship fixed this week.
