Auburn Football: April 21, 2010 Recruiting Update
Offensive Center Reese Dismukes has verbally committed to Auburn University. This is a huge pickup for coach Gene Chizik and the Auburn Tigers. He is a 6’3”, 270 lbs high school All American and has been chosen as one of ESPN’s top 150 recruits in the nation for 2011.
He will join fellow offensive lineman Spencer Region , who is also a high school All American and an ESPN 150 selection. He is 6’6”, 330 lbs and is friends with Reese Dismukes.
Auburn has also gained a verbal commitment from Thomas O'Reilly , another offensive lineman and an ESPN 150 selection. He is 6’3", 313 lbs and is very highly regarded.
With Auburn graduating four starters on the offensive line this year, this is one of the first needs that Auburn recruiters needed to address.
These young men will join Auburn’s fourth ranked offensive line class from 2010. With a few more additions the offensive line should be able to reload all of the vacated positions.
Auburn has also gained the commitment of Anthony Swain , a safety or linebacker that is also highly thought of. This is another position of priority for the coaching staff.
Auburn has one JUCO commitment at this point, safety Izuea Lanier .
This is a great start for the Auburn coaching staff as far as recruiting goes. They are not only getting the numbers they need, they are getting great talent as well.
